Winnik missed Tuesday’s game in Dallas, but he will replace Brad Boyes in the lineup tonight in Nashville. Winnik, who will skate on the third line, has six points (2G / 4A) in 14 games this season.
Pavelec was yanked after allowing four goals on 12 shots in the Jets loss in Minnesota on Tuesday. Head coach Paul Maurice said that the loss wasn’t on Pavelec, so he will go again tonight in Dallas. Pavelec has posted a 4-5-1 record, 2.69 GAA and .908 SV% this season. Pavelec will be in tough vs. the Stars.
Orpik left Tuesday’s game in Detroit but appears healthy enough to play tonight in Philadelphia. Orpik is listed as a game-time decision so monitor his status during the pre-game warmups.
Ferraro was injured in last Friday’s game in Toronto and was placed on IR this afternoon. His movement to IR suggests that he will miss at least the next two games with the knee injury.
Quincey was originally only expected to miss six weeks after surgery, but will now miss 2-3 months. With Quincey out, Alexey Marcheko and Jakub Kindl will continue to get regular reps in the lineup.
Datsyuk has missed the first 15 games of the season after undergoing ankle surgery this offseason. Datsyuk’s return is huge for the Red Wings, who currently rank 26th in the NHL in scoring. Even at the age of 37, Datsyuk remains one of the top offensive threats in the NHL—he had 26 goals and 39 assists (65 points) in 63 games last season.
Reimer allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Maple Leafs win in Dallas on Tuesday. Who would have though that Reimer would beat the Stars twice? He has played very well since Jonathan Bernier got hurt—he has posted a 1.96 GAA and .941 SV% in his last five starts. It won't be easy for him to string wins together tonight in Nashville.
Holtby allowed one goal on 27 shots in the Capitals loss 1-0 loss to the Red Wings on Tuesday. Holtby was outplayed by Petr Mrazek, but will draw a better matchup tonight vs. the Flyers. Holtby has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.51 GAA and .892 SV% in four starts on the road this season.
Hiller has missed the last six games and will miss No. 7 tonight, but it appears as if he is only one week away from returning to the lineup. When Hiller returns the Flames will have a decision to make in terms of who to send to Stockton. Kari Ramo has played serviceably well since being recalled when Hiller went down.
Wiercioch will be scratched tonight with Chris Wideman returning to the lineup. Wiercioch is coming off of a game where he was a minus-3 in a 7-5 loss to the Predators.
Lehtonen made 21 saves on 22 shots in the Stars win in Detroit on Sunday. Despite winning three in a row, the Stars elected to start Antti Niemi on Tuesday (he lost), but they will turn to Lehtonen tonight with the Jets in town. During his three-game winning streak Lehtonen has registered a 1.67 GAA and .946 SV%. Winnipeg comes in having lost three straight.
Howard allowed two goals on 22 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Stars last Sunday. In seven outings, Howard has only won three games in seven outings despite posting a 2.07 GAA and .932 SV%. Howard has gone 3-3-0 at home this season and it looks like he will face a Sharks team who have lost five of their last seven.
Poulin has yet play a game this season in the NHL or AHL but he was treaded to Calgary this morning and will report to Stockton. Poulin was acquired because Jon Gillies was injured.
Umberger will miss his second straight game tonight and is now expected to miss the next week or two with a lower-body ailment. With Umberger out, look for Vincent Lecavalier to play more regularly.
Luongo allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Panthers win over the Flames on Tuesday. The win snapped a three-game losing skid for Bobby Lu, who has gone 4-5-2 with a 2.36 GAA and .928 SV% in 11 starts this season. Tonight he will face the Sabres for the second time this season, in the first meeting he stopped 24 of 26 shots in a 3-2 win.
Lundqvist stopped all 33 shots that he faced in the Rangers 3-0 shutout win over the Hurricanes. Lundqvist has now won four straight games while posting an unreal 1.00 GAA and .967 SV%. He is red-hot right now but runs into Jake Allen and the Blues, who are equally hot.
Krug missed Wednesday’s practice for “rest” reasons, but is still listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s contest. Krug has registered 10 assists in 14 games this season.
Seidenberg underwent back surgery in late-September and missed the first 14 games of the season. Seidenberg had three goals and 11 assists (14 points) in 82 games last season. He is not a great fantasy asset, but will definitely help the Bruins out on the backend.
Mason allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Flyers loss in Vancouver on November 2nd. Michal Neuvirth started the last four games, but the Flyers will go back to their No. 1 tonight vs. the Capitals. Mason has a 3.34 GAA and .902 SV% in eight starts this season. He is an extremely risky start tonight with Alex Ovehckin an the Capitals rolling into town.
Medvedev has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury, but he will replace Brandon Manning in the lineup tonight. Medvedev will play on the top pair with Mark Streit, he has one assist and a minus-1 rating in 10 games this season.
