Auvitu was injured during his first shift on Saturday and has been placed on IR retroactive to January 7th. Auvitu will miss at least the next two games because of this move.

Auvutu has two goals and two assists in 23 games with the Devils this season. The 27-year-old French blueliner had one assist in five games with Albany before being called back up on Tuesday morning.
