Hedman officially listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Hedman was listed as questionable after suffering a lower-body injury last night, but has now been officially given a “day-to-day” tag, which suggests that he will not play tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Slater Koekkoek has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL) and is expected to make his NHL debut.

Victor Hedman
Wennberg (hand) will return to the Blue Jackets lineup on Tuesday.

Riley Sheahan
Mrazek starts on Tuesday vs. the Senators.

Mrazek was pulled after allowing four goals on 11 shots in the Red Wings 5-4 loss to the Islanders on Sunday. It was a rough outing after posting a 23-save shutout on Saturday. Koekkoek, 21, was the Lightning’s first-round pick (10th overall) in 2012. He has registered 24 points (5G / 19A) in his first season with Syracuse. With Victor Hedman’s status for Tuesday still in question, Koekkoek could be making his NHL debut in Toronto—which is just four hours from his hometown of Winchester, Ontario.

Kane (clavicle) is ahead of schedule; making “excellent progress.”

Kane is just five weeks into a 12-week timeline and when coach Joel Quenneville was asked if his timeline has changed, the coach said “There’s been excellent progress. It could be good news. We’ll see.” This is great news for the Blackhawks, but when he will return remains fuzzy. He could be back in time for game-1 of the playoffs.

Patrick Kane
Hedman is questionable for Tuesday’s game with an undisclosed injury.

Hedman left yesterday’s game with an undisclosed injury and did not return. The injury could keep him out of Tuesday’s game in Toronto and would be a massive blow to the Lightning’s blue line, who recently lost Jason Garrison and Andrej Sustr.

Victor Hedman
