NHL Hockey Player News

Talbot starts Tuesday vs. the Kings.

Talbot made 36 saves on 38 shots in the Rangers dominant 7-2 win over the Ducks on Sunday. He has won five of his last six starts while posting a 1.32 GAA and .959 SV%. Henrik Lundqvist returned to practice on Tuesday, but they won’t rush him back the way Talbot is playing. Talbot has gone 9-1-3 with a 1.64 GAA and .943 SV% at home this season.

Cam Talbot
Bobrovsky is in the starter's crease this morning.

Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 40 shots in the Blue Jackets 3-2 overtime win over the Flames on Saturday. He has won five of six while posting a 2.42 GAA and .931 SV%. He draws a tough assignment against a Ducks team who will be looking to bounce back from a 7-2 defeat to the Rangers on Sunday.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Rinne will be between the pipes on Tuesday.

Rinne stopped all 24 shots that he faced in the Predators 3-0 shutout win over the Sabres on Saturday. Tonight will be his ninth consecutive start, he comes in carrying a 3-5-1 record, 2.14 GAA and .919 SV% in nine starts in March. He will need to be on top of his game as Carey Price and the Canadiens come into Nashville.

Pekka Rinne
Price gets the call on Tuesday vs. the Predators.

Price stopped all 29 shots that he faced in the Canadiens 2-0 shutout win over the Sharks on Saturday. That is back-to-back shutouts for Price while stopping all 60 shots that he has faced. His numbers on the season are ridiculous and tonight’s game will feature two of the best goaltenders in the league as he goes head-to-head with Pekka Rinne.

Carey Price
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice.

Quick allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Kings 4-1 loss to Vancouver on Saturday. He has lost three of his last four despite posting a 1.76 GAA, .939 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he will take on a Devils team who have won three and lost three in their last six contests.

Jonathan Quick
Pavelec starts vs. the Oilers.

Pavelec stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Jets 3-0 shutout win over the Capitals on Saturday. Pavelec has won four in a row while posting a 1.10 GAA and .964 SV%, earning him player of the week honours. Tonight he draws an excellent matchup in Edmonton. He was victorious in his only start against them this season.

Ondrej Pavelec
Lehtonen will make his seventh straight start on Monday.

Lehtonen stopped all 33 shots that he faced in the Stars 4-0 shutout win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. It was a terrible matchup and Lehtonen turned in a stellar performance. He has won five of his last six starts while posting a 1.50 GAA and .940 SV%. He makes for a great option tonight in Buffalo.

Kari Lehtonen
The Kings goalie will be a game-time decision on Monday.

There is no indication who will get the nod for the Kings tonight. Monday will be the first game of a back-to-back, so there is a chance that it could be Martin Jones, but with the Kings in tough in the Western Conference playoff race, they could go with Quick in both games. Check back during warmups at 6:30 pm ET.

Jonathan Quick
Allen starts on Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh.

Allen made 23 saves on 25 shots in the Blues 2-1 OT loss to the Red Wings on Sunday. He has appeared in three of the Blues last five games, stopping 61 of 65 shots that he has faced (.939 SV%). Allen has gone 8-3-3 with a 2.54 GAA and .911 SV% in 15 road starts this season.

Jake Allen
Scrivens will start Monday vs. the Jets.

Scrivens allowed four goals on 31 shots in the Oilers win over the Flyers on Saturday. He has started the last six straight games, winning two of them with a 3.44 GAA and .872 SV%. Scrievns will make his 30th start at Rexall Place this season—he has gone 12-14-3 with a 2.86 GAA and .899 SV% at home this season.

Ben Scrivens
Lindback will be between the pipes on Monday in Dallas.

Lindback allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Sabres loss to New Jersey on Friday. He was given Saturday night off, but will be back in goal tonight in Dallas. Lindback has gone 1-4-2 with a 2.49 GAA and .930 SV% in his time with Buffalo—which is much better than what he did earlier in the year with the Stars. He was 2-8-0 with a 3.71 GAA and .875 SV% before being traded.
