Gunnarsson suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday's game against the Wild and he will be held out of today's game against the Red Wings. Petteri Lindbohm or Chris Butler will replace him.

Hamilton left after playing just 13:11 TOI and did not return. Coach Claude Julien did not have an update on Dougie after the game, but the Bruins recalled Zach Trotman, which suggests that Hamilton won’t be good-to-go tonight.

Mason took part in warmups but said he felt ill after the warmups and did not come back to the bench to backup Ray Emery until the second period. Mason is expected to be fine and should be available for next Wednesday’s game against Chicago.

Datsyuk will miss his third consecutive game and remains day-to-day with a lower-body injury. The Red Wings are struggling right now and could certainly use Datsyuk back in the lineup as soon as possible. Their next game is Tuesday vs. the Coyotes.

Howard allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Red Wings 3-1 loss to the Lightning on Friday. He has been skating on thin ice with Petr Mrazek playing well lately. Howie comes into play with a 2-4-0 with a 3.23 GAA and .900 SV% in the month of March.

Trotman, 24, has two goals and 10 assists (12 points) in 38 games with Providence tho season. In 17 games with the Bruins, he has collected four assists. Dougie Hamilton left Saturday’s game, so there is a chance that Trotman plays tonight.

Smith stopped 34 of 36 shots in the Coyotes 3-1 loss to the Penguins last night. He is now 1-6-0 with a 2.14 GAA and .939 SV%. So yeah, all these losses are not Smith’s fault, but hey they were earlier so…Tonight will be his third start of the year against Vancouver—he has gone 1-1-0 with a 4.15 GAA and .867 SV% in the first two.

Markstrom has made two NHL appearances and as it stands now, he is 0-1-0 with a 10.21 GAA and .500 SV%. He went down to the AHL last weekend and went 2-0-0 with a 1.42 GAA and .943 SV% so maybe this time around he will have a little more confidence. He draws a great matchup for people who are in a pinch fora spot-start—the Yotes have lost seven in a row.

Holtby gave up two goals on 30 shots in the Capitals win over the Wild on Thursday. He has won three straight while posting a 1.62 GAA and .947 SV%. He comes into Winnipeg having gone 18-9-5 with a 2.32 GAA and .923 SV% on the road.

Hackett allowed four goals on 23 shots in the Sabres loss in Washington on March 7th. Anders Lindback started last night, so it will be Hackett tonight in Nashville. He is 0-2-0 with a 5.19 GAA and .867 SV% in two starts this season.

Fleury stopped 24 of 26 shots in the Penguins 2-1 loss in Dallas. He has lost his last two starts while allowing six goals on 42 shots (.857 SV%). Fleury has a great matchup tonight and comes in at 12-6-4 with a 2.07 GAA and .924 SV% in 23 starts on the road this season.

Lack gave up five goals on 30 shots in the Canucks 6-2 loss to the Blue Jackets on Thursday. It was a rough outing, but he has been good overall. He comes in at 5-2-1 with a 2.38 GAA and.923 SV% in March. Today he takes on a Kings team who is 5-2-2 while averaging 2.56 goals per game in March.

Quick allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Kings loss in Anaheim on Wednesday. He has gone 5-2-2 with a 1.94 GAA and .913 SV% in nine starts in March. He has been great against the Canucks this season, going 3-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .944 SV% in the first three meetings.

Rinne allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Predators loss to the Wild on Tuesday. He has lost two in a row and three of his last four, but should be able to get back in the win column tonight vs. Buffalo. Rinne comes into play at 2-5-1 with a 2.42 GAA and .910 SV%.

Lehtonen made 31 saves on 32 shots in the Stars win over the penguins on Thursday. He has won four of his last five while posting a strong 1.80 GAA and .922 SV%. Lehtonen will be making his fifth start against the Blackhawks—he has gone 1-1-2 with a 3.90 GAA and .895 SV% in the first two meetings.
