Palat took a shot off of the foot and was forced to leave yesterday’s win over the Canadiens. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said the X-rays “looked okay” but Palat will be reevaluated. Monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s game in Boston.
Quick allowed one goal on 18 shots in the Kings 1-0 OT loss to the Penguins on Saturday. Quick has gone 2-1-1 with a 2.65 GAA and .875 SV% in four starts in March. Tonight will be his second start of the season against Colorado—he made 42 saves in a 4-1 win in their first meeting.
Eakin was a late scratch for disciplinary reason. There is no word on what Eakin did to warrant being a healthy scratch, but Brett Ritchie will be in the lineup for the Stars pivot.
Demers was a game-time decision and was a late scratch because of an illness that forced him out of the morning skate. Consider him day-to-day and monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s game in Carolina.
Klingberg was listed as questionable after leaving Saturday’s game early. There was no word throughout the day, nor in warmups, but he will play tonight in Philadelphia. He has 36 points (10G / 26A) in 52 games this season.
Adam, 24, came over from the Sabres organization this season and has registered five goals and 13 assists (18 points) in 31 games with Springfield (AHL). Adam is expected to skate on the Blue Jackets fourth line.
Foligno was scratched from Tuesday’s game because of flu-like symptoms and was replaced by Luke Adam. There was no word of any ailment prior to pre-game warmups, he even took part in the Blue Jackets morning skate. Monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game in Detroit.
Lehtonen was pulled after allowing three goals on 14 shots in the Stars loss in Florida last Thursday. Jhonas Enroth started and lost on Saturday, so it will be Lehtonen tonight in Philly. Since the All Star break, Lehtonen has gone 7-3-3 while posting a 2.97 GAA and .907 SV% in 14 starts.
Strait has been a healthy scratch for the last four games, but will be in tonight with Nick Leddy out with a lower-body injury. Strait has six points (2G / 4A) in 38 games this season.
Leddy suffered a lower-body injury in the Islanders overtime win over the Maple Leafs on Monday. He was listed as a game-time decision, but will be held out of tonight’s game against the Rangers. Leddy will be replace by Brian Strait.
Shattenkirk has missed the last 16 games after undergoing surgery on his abdomen. Shattenkirk took part in line rush drills and has been on the ice for a couple of weeks now. His status remains week-to-week, but he is progressing well. It doesn’t appear as if a return is imminent, but it is definitely getting closer.

Oesterle, 22, had one assist in six games with the Oilers during his call-up. His return to the AHL suggests that Nikita Nikitin could be back in the lineup on Thursday in Pittsburgh. Oesterle heads back to the AHL where he has 21 points (6G / 15A) in 49 games on the Oklahoma City blue line.
Ramo allowed four goals on 23 shots in the Flames loss in Ottawa on Sunday. Despite the loss, the Flames will go back to him for the seventh time in eight games. Ramo has won three of his previous six outings while posting a 2.18 GAA and .937 SV%. He has not faced the Ducks yet this season, but has gone 5-3-1 at home.
Shore missed Tuesday’s practice and he is doubtful to be in the lineup on Wednesday against Anaheim. Monitor his status during Wednesday’s morning skate.
Hishon suffered an elbow injury on Sunday and will miss tonight’s game against the Kings. Hishon is listed as day-to-day. Expect Danny Briere to replace him in the lineup tonight.
Varlamov was injured late in Sunday’s win and will miss at least tonight’s game. Varlamov missed six games with a groin injury earlier in the year, but there is no word on how long he will be out this time around. The Avalanche announced that he might be ready for Thursday, but consider him day-to-day for now.
With Semyon Varlamov out with a groin injury, Pickard will start his 13th game of the season for the Avalanche. He has gone 6-6-3 with a 2.18 GAA and .936 SV% with Colorado. While in Lake Erie (AHL) he has posted a 15-12-5 record, 2.61 GAA and .915 SV%. He will take on a Kings team who have dropped four of six while averaging just 2.00 goals per game.
Hutchinson made 20 saves on 21 shots in the Jets 3-1 win over the Predators on Saturday. Hutchinson has gone 3-1-2 with a 2.29 GAA and .912 SV% in his previous six starts. One of those starts was a 2-1 shootouts loss in which he made 28 saves against the Blues, who he will face tonight.
Hartnell was questionable after missing the morning skate, but coach Todd Richards said that Hartnell will play tonight vs. Carolina. Hartnell has two goals and two assists in his last four games, but has not registered a shot in his last two games.
