The Maple Leafs have claimed Tim Erixon off of waivers from Chicago.

Erixon, 24, was a first round pick (23rd overall) back in 2009. He has never received a full chance to prove what he can do at the NHL level. He has one goal and five assists in 27 games with the Blue Jackets and Blackhawks this season. He will report to the Maple Leafs, not the Marlies.

The Flames have claimed David Schlemko off of waivers from Dallas.

Schlemko, 27, heads to his third team of the season after being claimed by Calgary. He has on goal and four assists in 25 games with the Coyotes and Stars so far this season. He will join his former Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL) teammate Kris Russell with the Flames.

David Schlemko
Enroth was the first goalie off of the ice for the Stars.

Enroth allowed three goals on 24 shots in Tuesday’s loss in Winnipeg. Enroth is 0-3-0 with a 3.74 GAA and .867 SV% since joining Dallas. It is March and Kari Lehtonen has virtually every win for the Stars, they need Enroth to step up tonight in a big game versus the Ducks.

The Coyotes have reassigned Dylan Reese to Portland (AHL).

Reese was a minus-1 with three shots in the only game he played during his recall. He served as a healthy scratch in the last two games, so it is not surprising to see him go back to the minors.

The Coyotes have reassigned Henrik Samuelsson to Portland (AHL).

Samuelsson failed to record a point while registering three shots and a minus-2 rating in two games during his call-up. He returned to Portland where he has 10 goals and 15 assists (25 points) in 50 games this season.

Henrik Samuelsson
Raymond (personal) is back with the Flames; expected to play on Tuesday.

Raymond missed the last three games to be with his wife for the birth of their child. He has arrived in Philadelphia and will be available for Tuesday’s game against the Flyers. Raymond has 11 goals and four assists (15 points) in 37 games this season.

Mason Raymond
The Hurricanes have signed Jay McClement to a two-year, $2.4M contract extension.

McClement has six goals and 12 assists in 61 games with the Hurricanes this season. He leads the team in face-off percentage (55.3%) and shorthanded time per game (2:24). He was a pending unrestricted free agent this offseason, but is now signed through the 2016-17 season.

Jay McClement
The Blue Jackets will not hold a morning skate because of the 5 p.m ET start. Head coach Todd Richards is expected to address the media around 2:30 p.m, at which time he should announce his starting netminder.

Sergei Bobrovsky was activated from IR yesterday and served as Curtis McElhinney's back-up, so there is a good chance that he could make his first start since January 21st.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Fleury will be between the pipes on Sunday vs. Columbus.

Fleury allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Penguins 4-3 win over the Capitals on Wednesday. With three days off in between games, Fleury will start again today vs. Columbus. Fleury went 5-3-1 with a 1.55 GAA, .943 SV% and two shutouts in nine starts in February.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Coach Horachek leaning towards starting Reimer on Sunday.

Reimer allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in Carolina on February 20th. Jonathan Bernier has started the last three games, but Reimer could go tonight in Washington. Horachek was noncommittal about his starter, so we await his official announcement. Reimer sits 7-13-0 with a 3.15 GAA and .906 SV% on the season.

James Reimer
Montoya starts Sunday against the Lightning.

Montoya allowed five goals on 26 shots in the Panthers loss in Pittsburgh on February 22nd. He has gone 1-2-0 with a 3.03 GAA and .898 SV% in his last three outings. He will face a Lightning team who have won three of their last four while scoring four goals in each game.

Al Montoya
The Coyotes have recalled Klas Dahlbeck and a 2015 first round pick from the Blackhawks for Antoine Vermette.

Dahlbeck, 23, is a big-body at 6-foot-2, 194 lbs. but is not overly physical. The 2011 third round pick (79th overall) had one goal in four games with Chicago this season and 10 points (4G / 6A) in 49 games with Rockford (AHL).

Klas Dahlbeck
The Blackhawks have acquired Antoine Vermette from Arizona for Klas Dahlbeck and a 2015 first-round pick.

Vermette, 32, is a pending unrestricted free agent, so this is a steep price to pay for a rental. The Patrick Kane injury really forced the Blackhawks hand though. Vermette has scored 13 goals with 22 assists (35 points) in 63 games with Arizona. He is a very effective two-way forward and is excellent in the face-off circle—Vermette currently sits eighth in the NHL in face-off percentage at 56.0%.

Antoine Vermette
Rask will start Saturday vs. the Coyotes.

Rask allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Bruins loss to the Canucks on Tuesday. He did not dress last night cause of the flu, but he is feeling better and he will start tonight vs. Arizona. Rask has gone 2-5-2 with a 2.61 GAA and .909 SV% in February.

Tuukka Rask
Scrivens starts vs. St. Louis.

Scrivens turned aside 33 of 34 shots in the Oilers win over the Wild on Tuesday. It was a strong outing for Scrivens, who has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.47 GAA and .920 SV% since returning from IR. Tonight he will face the Blues for the third time this season—he has gone 0-1-1 with a 3.93 GAA and .886 SV% in his first two games against St. Louis.

Ben Scrivens
Dubnyk will make his 20th straight start.

Dubnyk allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Wild’s 4-2 win in Nashville on Thursday. He has gone 10-2-1 with a 1.69 GAA and .935 SV% in February. The move to Minnesota has not only resurrected his career, but he is one of the league’s top goalies right now. One of those February outings was an 18-save shutout against the Avalanche, who he will take on tonight.
