Neuvirth will start vs. the Canucks.

Neuvirth was excellent on Tuesday, stopping 45 of 47 shots in the Sabres 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets. In February, he has posted a fantastic 1.94 GAA and .947 SV%, but that has only led to a 2-3-2 record. Tonight he will face a Canucks team, who come in having won six of their last eight.

Michal Neuvirth
Talbot will be between the pipes on Thursday.

Talbot stopped all 21 shots that he faced in the Rangers 1-0 shutout win over the Flames on Tuesday. It was Talbot’s 11th win and fourth shutout of the season. He comes in having won five of his last six games with a 2.59 GAA and .914 SV%. Talbot makes for an excellent start against the Coyotes.

Cam Talbot
Bernier gets the nod Thursday vs. the Flyers.

Bernier gave up three goals on 34 shots in the Maple Leafs 4-3 OT win over the Jets on Saturday. With four days off between games, the Leafs will go back to Bernier tonight vs. Philadelphia. The first time he faced the Flyers, it was a debacle. Bernier allowed seven goals on 41 shots in a 7-4 loss.

Jonathan Bernier
The Sabres have recalled Phil Varone from Rochester (AHL).

Varone, 24, has been recalled because the Sabres are without Zemgus Girgensons and Tyler Ennis. He has registered two goals in seven games with the Sabres this season. While in Rochester, he has 43 points (14G / 29A) in 52 games.

Phil Varone
Zepp will start Thursday vs. Toronto.

Zepp allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Flyers loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday. Since being recall, he has gone 2-1-0 with a 2.59 GAA and .900 SV%. Tonight he will take on a Maple Leafs team who has gone 2-8-2 while averaging 2.08 goals per game since the All Star break.

Robert Zepp
Giordano left Wednesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Giordano went down awkwardly late in Wednesday’s win over the Devils. He was hooked down and fell to the ice, appearing to twist his knee. Giordano was able to skate off under his own power, but it didn’t look good. Head coach Bob Hartley said that Giordano will be re-evaluated on Thursday.

Mark Giordano
Sekac played on the 2nd line in his Ducks debut on Wednesday.

After getting his Visa issues cleared up, Sekac made his Anaheim debut on Wednesday vs. the Senators. He was held off of the score sheet in 14:35, registering one shot and a minus-1 rating. He played on the Ducks second line with Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg.

Jiri Sekac
Ehrhoff (concussion) was held pointless in his return to the Penguins lineup.

Ehrhoff played 18:34 and registered one blocked shot and a plus-1 rating in his first game since January 28th. He was playing over 22 minutes a night before getting injured, so expect those minutes to be on the rise again.

Christian Ehrhoff
Zepp is probable to start Thursday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Robert Zepp
Kane is expected to miss 12 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a broken left clavicle.

This is even longer than the original reports, but with the playoffs starting in seven weeks, Kane’s season appears to be over. This is a terrible break for a player who was trying to become the first American born player to win the scoring title. This will put a lot of weight Kris Versteeg and Patrick Sharp to put the puck in the net.

Patrick Kane
The Kings have acquired Andrej Sekera from the Hurricanes for a 2015 1st round pick and prospect Roland McKeown

Sekera is a pending unrestricted free agent, but definitely bolsters the Kings blue line in the short term. Defence was not a huge need for the Kings until Slava Voynov ran into trouble with the law. Sekera is a strong puck-moving defenseman, who brings a solid amount of offence to the table. He has 19 points (2G / 17A) in 57 games this season.

Andrej Sekera
Skille will have season-ending shoulder surgery.

Skille suffered the shoulder injury on February 17th against the Flyers. He will undergo surgery and it will end his regular season. The Blue Jackets have had some crazy injury issues this season and Skille is the latest one to go down.

Jack Skille
Miller will miss 4-6 weeks with a sprained knee.

As many Canucks fans and Miller owners feared, he will miss at least one month with a sprained knee that he suffered in a collision with his teammate Jannik Hansen. With Miller out for potentially the rest of the regular season, the Canucks will turn to Eddie Lack in the middle of a playoff race.

Ryan Miller
The Penguins have traded Zach Sill, a 2016 2nd round pick and a 2015 4th round pick to the Maple Leafs for Daniel Winnik.

Sill, 26, is a scrappy player, who is just a salary dump for the Penguins and also a pending unrestricted free agent. The remainder of the season will likely serve as a tryout for the Maple Leafs heading into 2015-16. He has terrible possession numbers though, so the new regime in Toronto may not like that.
