Biega, 26, has three goals and 12 assists (15 points) in 42 games with Utica this season. With Yannick Weber likely going into the lineup for Alex Edler, Biega has been recalled to be the Canucks seventh defenseman.
Hemsky missed Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury and will not play on Tuesday, but he is hopeful that he can play on Thursday against San Jose. Monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s morning skate.
Hendricks will be held out of the second straight game with a lower-body injury. He participated in the Oilers morning skate, but still won’t be in the lineup. Monitor his status prior to Wednesday’s game.
Fasth was pulled after he allowed three goals on 15 shots in the Oilers 7-2 loss to the Senators on Saturday. Tonight he will start for the seventh time in the last eight games—Fasth has gone 2-4-0 with a 3.72 GAA and .875 SV% in his previous six outings.
Hutchinson allowed four goals on 29 shots in the Jets 5-4 shootout win over the Red Wings. He has won each of this last two starts and the Jets will break their goaltending rotation by going with Hutchinson vs. Edmonton. It is a great matchup for the 24-year-old, who is 7-4-1 with a 1.95 GAA and .930 SV% at the MTS Centre.
Semin will come out of the lineup on Monday after playing in the last six games. He had one goal and two assists in those games, but will come out of the lineup for Brad Malone.
Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters said that Rask needs a night off and will be back in the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Islanders. Rask has been a minus-4 rating in the last two games. With Rask coming out, Chris Terry will get into the lineup.
Boyle missed Saturday’s game, but was on the ice for the morning skate and could be back in the lineup tonight. He said he wants to see if he can eat a full meal today, something that he hasn’t been able to do for the last few days. Monitor his status during pre-game warmups at 6:30 pm ET.
Kaleta will undergo minor surgery on a lower-body injury and will miss at least one month. Kaleta is often injured and is not much of a fantasy asset.
Phaneuf will miss his 10th straight game with a hand injury that he suffered on January 21st. He suffered a setback last week and will continue to be held out of the lineup.
Lupul will miss his third consecutive game with a lower-body injury. There is no word on when he is expected to return to the lineup, but he has yet to practice with the team. He diid however skate on his own before the Leafs practice on Monday.
Jokinen was not on the ice for Maple Leafs practice on Monday because he was undergoing a physical. He can’t suit up for the Leafs until Mike Santorelli and Cody Franson are cleared to play for the Predators. Monitor his status on Tuesday.
Gibbons (knee) has not played since December 18th and the Blue Jackets likely want to send him to Springfield (AHL) but he will need to clear waivers in order for them to do so.
Schneider allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Devils 3-1 loss to the Predators on Saturday. It was the first time in nine games that he allowed more than two goals, but it is hard to fault him when he faces 41 shots. He has been great in the last month and a half and is a must-start vs. the Sabres.
Ward surrendered two goals on 17 shots in the Hurricanes 2-1 loss to the Ducks last Thursday. Since the All Star break, Ward has gone 2-2-1 with a 2.16 GAA and .921 SV%. Tonight he will face the Senators in Ottawa—Ward has struggled on the road, going 5-12-1 with a 2.90 GAA and .902 SV%.
Lehner allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Senators 7-2 blowout win over the Oilers on Saturday. Since taking over for the injured Craig Anderson, Lehner has won three of eight starts with a 2.49 GAA and .919 SV%. He draws another strong matchup tonight with the 28th placed Hurricanes in town.
Boyle missed Saturday’s game in Arizona, but is on the ice for the morning skate, which suggests that he will be back in the lineup tonight on Long Island. Boyle has four goals in his last seven games.
Stafford had one goal on five shots in the Jets shootout win over the Red Wings on Saturday. He has seven shots and has played a total of 5:06 on the power-play in his first two games with Winnipeg. He has now been bumped to the top-line, increasing his fantasy value yet again.
Despite Pavelec being in the starter's crease at the Jets morning skate, Michael Hutchinson will start in goal on Monday vs. the Oilers.
Mitchell has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury, but is on the verge of returning. He is with the team in Toronto and could be back in the lineup on Tuesday. Monitor his status during tomorrow’s morning skate.
