Eaves (ankle) will be back in the Stars lineup on Tuesday.

Eaves has been out since December 2nd with an ankle injury, which cost him exactly eight weeks. He will be back in tonight and is expected to start on the Stars’ top line with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. Prior to getting hurt, Eaves had three goals and five assists in 19 games.

Patrick Eaves
Andersen will be in goal for the Ducks.

Andersen allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Ducks win vs. the Flames last Wednesday. He entered the All Star break on a six-game winning streak while posting a 2.41 GAA and .922 SV%. Tonight he will meet Vancouver for the fourth time this season—he is 2-0-1 with a 1.56 GAA and .935 SV% in the first two.

Frederik Andersen
Miller was the first goalie off of the ice for the Canucks.

Miller allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Canucks loss to the Lightning last Tuesday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Miller, who will likely make his fifth consecutive start tonight. In his first start against the Ducks, he made 29 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss.

Ryan Miller
Smith is the Coyotes likely starter.

Smith allowed six goals on 51 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Blackhawks last Tuesday. He was under siege all night which led to another rough night for Smith. He is still the clear number-1 in Arizona, despite going 7-20-3 with a 3.51 GAA and .887 SV%. Tonight he will face the Flyers in Philly—Smith is 2-11-1 on the road this year.

Mike Smith
Enroth will start for the Sabres.

Enroth gave up six goals on 26 shots in the Sabres loss to the Red Wings last Sunday. He has allowed a total of 18 goals on 94 shots (.809 SV%). It has been a rough season and an extremely rough stretch, but that is something you have to come to expect with the Sabres goalies during this rebuild.

Jhonas Enroth
Richards will report to Manchester (AHL) on Wednesday.

Richards, who cleared waivers this afternoon, will be sent to Manchester tomorrow. The $5.725M centre will give the Kings $925K of cap-relief by reporting to the minors. He had 15 points (7G / 8A) in 14 AHL playoff games back in 2004-05, his only AHL action of his career.

Mike Richards
Wingels will miss 3-4 weeks with a broken hand.

Wingels missed the Sharks last game before the All Star break after breaking his hand last Monday. The injury will keep him out of the lineup until late February or early March.

Tommy Wingels
Braun will miss 4-6 weeks with a broken hand.

Braun missed the Sharks last game before the All Star break after breaking his hand last Monday. The injury will keep him out of the lineup until at least late-February, likely until early-to-mid March. He had 19 points (1G / 18A) in 47 games before getting injured.

Justin Braun
Mrazek gets the start tonight in Florida.

Mrazek allowed four goals on 38 shots in the Red Wings 5-4 shootout win over the Wild before the All Star break. It was a nice bounce-back performance for Mrazek, who was yanked in his previous outing. Since Jimmy Howard went down, Mrazek has gone 5-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .910 SV%.

Petr Mrazek
Brodeur set to retire; will join the Blues front office.

The NHL’s all-time winningest goalie made the decision after taking a break from the NHL team to ponder his future. Two sources confirmed that Brodeur took the Blues up on the offer of an executive role. Brodeur, 42, joined St. Louis following an injury to Brian Elliott in late November and went 3-3-0 in the only NHL games he ever played outside of the New Jersey Devils organization. He became the odd-man out when Elliott returned earlier this month to reform a tandem with Jake Allen.

Martin Brodeur
Fasth will start on Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

Fasth surrendered four goals on 24 shots in the Oilers victory over the Capitals last Tuesday. Don’t look now, but Fasth has won two in a row and will look for number-3 tonight vs. the Wild. However, he has gone 0-4-0 with a 3.74 GAA and .870 SV% at Rexall Place this season.

Viktor Fasth
Allen will start on Friday in Carolina.

Allen allowed two goals on 15 shots in the Blues win over the Oilers on January 13th. Tonight will mark only his second start of the month, but things should start to pick up for him again. He comes into tonight at 13-5-2 with a 2.65 GAA and .900 SV% on the season. The Blues are red-hot, so Allen is a great start against the NHL’s 29th ranked offence.
