Dorsett (upper-body) will not play on Friday.

With Dorsett out, Ronalds Kenins will make his NHL debut on the Canucks fourth line. Dorsett is still “a ways away” according to head coach Willie Desjardins, so he could miss a few more contests.

Derek Dorsett
Ronalds Kenins will make his NHL debut on Friday night.

Kenins, 23, has registered five goals and seven assists (12 points) in 36 games with Utica (AHL), in what is his first season in North America. He is a big-boy, standing in at 6-foot-4, 205 lbs. and should fill in nicely for Derek Dorsett.

Ronalds Kenins
Andersen will be back in goal on Friday.

Andersen stopped all eight shots that he faced after replacing Ilya Bryzgalov in last night’s loss to the Sharks. After getting the start of last night off, Andersen is ready to go tonight vs. the Hawks. He is riding a seven-game winning streak, having posted a 1.97 GAA and .931 SV% over that span.

Frederik Andersen
Smith will be in goal vs. the Senators on Saturday.

Smith allowed one goal on 25 shots in the Coyotes 3-1 win in Toronto on Thursday. It was his first win since January 8th and made him 3-5-2 with a 3.25 GAA and .902 SV% in January. In his first start against the Senators, he allowed five goals on 33 shots in a 5-1 loss.

Mike Smith
Fleury gets the start vs. New Jersey.

Fleury gave up four goals on 36 shots in the Penguins 4-0 loss to the Capitals on Wednesday. Fleury has lost four consecutive starts while posting an ugly 4.31 GAA and .867 SV%. Tonight he will make his fourth start of the season against the Devils—he is 2-1-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .920 SV% in the first three meetings.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Grossmann (shoulder) could return to the lineup on Saturday vs. Toronto.

Grossmann has missed the last nine games with a shoulder injury, but finally appears ready to return to the lineup tomorrow vs. the Maple Leafs. “He looked good today,” coach Berube said. “It’s up in the air yet, I’ve got to see tomorrow.” Monitor his status during Saturday’s morning skate.

Nick Grossmann
Price is getting the nod on Saturday afternoon.

Price stopped all 24 shots that he faced in the Canadiens 1-0 shutout win over the Rangers on Thursday night. Since returning from his upper-body injury, Price has won all three of his starts while posting a 0.98 GAA and .971 SV%. He will make his first start of the season against the Capitals this afternoon—Price is 15-5-1 at the Bell Centre.

Carey Price
Mrazek will start on Saturday.

Mrazek was pulled after he allowed five goals on 15 shots in the Red Wings 5-1 loss to the Lightning on Thursday. Mrazek has struggled lately, getting pulled in two of his last four starts and posting a 4.83 GAA and .842 SV% over that stretch. It won’t get any easier with the high-powered Islanders in town.

Petr Mrazek
Lehner will start in goal on Saturday.

Lehner gave up four goals on 39 shots in the Senators loss to Dallas on Thursday. With Craig Anderson still out, Lehner will make his second straight start, in search of his first win since December 13th. He is 0-3-0 with a 4.28 GAA and .864 SV% in January, but draws a nice matchup with the Coyotes in town.

Robin Lehner
The Red Wings have recalled Alexey Marchenko from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Marchenko, 23, has registered two goals and 15 assists ( 17 points) in 42 games with Grand Rapids this season. He made his NHL debut last season, but could make his season debut on Saturday afternoon vs. the Islanders.
