Carle (undisclosed) is likely out through the All Star break.

Carle suffered an undisclosed injury on Thursday vs. the Oilers. He will not play tonight and likely won’t play on Tuesday vs. the Canucks. Thankfully for the Lightning, Victor Hedman is expected to return tonight.

Matt Carle
Price’s upper-body injury is not serious; no word if he will play Tuesday or in the All Star game.

Price will not dress tonight, but coach Therrien said the injury is minor. The Canadiens last game before the All Star break is Tuesday vs. the Predators, but he could no confirm whether or not Price will be available or not.

Carey Price
Bernier will start Saturday vs. St. Louis.

Bernier allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Maple Leafs 4-0 loss to the Ducks on Wednesday. He was given Thursday night off, but will be back in goal in St. Louis. Bernier has gotten off to a 1-4-0, 2.86 GAA and .880 SV% start to 2015. Toronto is having a really difficult time scoring goals right now, making Bernier a risky start tonight vs. the Blues.

Jonathan Bernier
Lehtonen was the first goalie off of the ice for the Stars.

Lehtonen was pulled after he allowed two goals on five shots vs. the Senators on Tuesday. Anders Lindback came in in relief and led the Stars to victory, which earned him the start on Thursday. It looks like Lehtonen will get back between the pipes tonight vs. the Caps. He is 1-1-2 with a 3.59 GAA and .874 SV% in January.

Kari Lehtonen
Oshie (lower-body) will play on Saturday.

Oshie appeared to be labouring in Thursday’s game after blocking a shot on Tuesday. He was given the morning off, but he will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Oshie has been on fire as of late and now sits with 26 points (11G / 15A) in 36 games this season.

T.J. Oshie
Anderson will start in goal on Saturday.

Anderson allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Senators win over the Canadiens on Thursday. Andy has gone 3-1-1 with a 1.76 GAA and .938 SV% since the calendar switched to 2015. He will look to keep things going tonight with the Hurricanes in town. It is a nice matchup—Carolina is 29th in the NHL in scoring (2.00 G/PG)

Craig Anderson
Neuvirth will be the Sabres starter on Saturday.

Neuvirth allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Sabres 3-1 loss to the Red Wings on Tuesday. Despite stopping 72 of 77 shots (.935 SV%), Neuvirth has lost each of his last two starts. He will start for the third time in the last four games and will face a Flyers team who have lost three of their last four.

Michal Neuvirth
Bishop will start Saturday vs. the Avalanche.

Bishop allowed two goals on 32 shots in the Lightning’s 3-2 win over Edmonton on Thursday. He is 4-1-0 with a 2.92 GAA and .889 SV% in January, but should make for a strong start tonight at home against a modest Colorado offence. He is 15-3-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .925 SV% at home this season.

Ben Bishop
The Stars have recalled Curtis McKenzie from Texas (AHL).

McKenzie, 23, had one goal in 14 games with the Stars earlier this season. In his time with Texas, he registered 13 points (4G / 9A) in 16 games. He has been recalled because Brett Ritchie has been placed on IR with an undisclosed injury.

Curtis McKenzie
The Stars have placed Brett Ritchie (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

Ritchie suffered an undisclosed injury in Thursday’s loss to Winnipeg. The 21-year-old had registered three goals, one assist and 21 shots in eight games during his recall. He will miss at least the next three games, but could return after the All Star break.

Brett Ritchie
Tokarski will get the call vs. the Islanders.

Tokarski allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens’ loss to the Senators on Thursday. With Carey Price out with an upper-body injury, Tokarski will start for a second straight game. He is 4-3-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .922 SV% on the year, but draws a terrible matchup with the Isles in town.

The Flyers have recalled Jason Akeson from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Akeson averages nearly a point per-game with the Phantoms, recording eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in 19 games this season. He began the 2014-15 season with the Flyers appearing in 12 games, going scoreless while averaging 7:36 of ice-time per-game. His recall likely means that Scott Laughton will miss some time with an upper-body injury.

Jason Akeson
Peters will return to the Capitals net on Saturday in Dallas.

Peters has not started an NHL game since November 29th. In two games with Hershey (AHL) last week he went 1-1-0 with a 1.51 GAA and .948 SV% during the conditioning stint. With the Capitals he is 2-31 with a 3.29 GAA and. 872 SV%, so be careful with his matchup vs. the NHL’s sixth best offence.

Justin Peters
Perreault left Friday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Perreault was injured when he was cross-checked by Blackhawks forward Daniel Carcillo midway through the second period. The Jets are off on Saturday, so we likely won’t have an update on Perreault’s status until Sunday’s morning skate in advance of their game against the Coyotes.
