Sparks has struggled since returning from injury and comes into play tonight with a 6-8-1 record, 2.95 GAA and .893 SV% in the first 16 games of his NHL career.

Bobrovsky allowed one goal on 27 shots in the Blue Jackets win over the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Bobrovsky, who is 14-19-1 with a 2.72 GAA and .909 SV% on the year. Tonight he makes his first start vs. the Blackhawks, who have won five of their last seven while averaging 3.71 goals per game.

Talbot allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Oilers win over the Canucks in the final game at Rexall Place. Talbot has gone 21-27-4 with a 2.55 GAA and .917 SV% in his first season with the Oilers. Tonight he faces the Canucks again—he is 2-0-1 with a 1.31 GAA and .956 SV% in three starts vs. Vancouver this season.

Kapanen has appeared in the last five games, but will return to the Marlies, so he can play on Friday. The 19 year old has not recorded a point in nine NHL games, but has 25 points (9G / 16A) in 41 AHL games.
