Spurgeon (illness) is not expected to play on Tuesday.

As of right now, the Wild say that Spurgeon will miss his second straight game with a stomach illness. Coach Mike Yeo is expected to address the media at 6:30 PM ET, where Spurgeon will officially be ruled in or out. If Spurgeon can’t go, Stu Bickel will stay in the lineup.

Jared Spurgeon
Scrivens starts vs. Arizona.

Scrivens stopped 20 of 21 shots in the Oilers 2-0 loss to the Rangers on Sunday. He will get the first start under the Oilers new coaching regime tonight in Arizona. He is 5-11-3 on the year and even though the Coyotes have been a good matchup for virtually everyone else, Scrivens is 0-2-0 with a 4.13 GAA and .860 SV% vs. Arizona this season.

Ben Scrivens
Lundqvist starts vs. the Flames.

Lundqvist stopped all 16 shots that he faced in the Rangers 2-0 shutout win over the Oilers on Sunday. It was probably King Henrik’s easiest shutout of his career, but his fantasy owners will take it. He is now tied for the league-lead with five shutouts—but he is 25th in GAA (2.51) and t-29th in SV% (.911).

Henrik Lundqvist
Mitchell (undisclosed) will not play on Tuesday.

Mitchell suffered an undisclosed injury in the Sabres win over the Senators last night. With Mitchell out, the Sabres recalled Mikhail Grigorenko, who will make his season debut tonight vs. the Jets. Mitchell is day-to-day.

The Devils have sent Tim Sestito back to Albany (AHL).

Sestito played 11:04 and was a minus-1 in Monday’s game, but has been back to the AHL for now. His return to Albany suggests that one of the Devils injured forwards will be back on Wednesday.

Tim Sestito
Beauchemin (finger) will not play on Tuesday.

Beauchemin was on the ice for the Ducks’ morning skate on Tuesday, but he is not quite ready to return to the lineup. Beauchemin was expected to miss 4-6 weeks after fracturing his finger on November 25th, but today marks the three week mark, so he is ahead of schedule.

Francois Beauchemin
Heatley will not play on Tuesday.

Despite being recalled from his conditioning stint on Monday, Heatley will not return to the lineup on Tuesday. He skated again this morning and is healthy, but the Ducks are on a seven-game winning streak, so they likely don’t want to tinker with a winning lineup.

Dany Heatley
Stalberg (lower-body) returned to Predators practice on Tuesday.

Stalberg has been out since October 25th with a lower-body injury. His return to practice this morning suggests that he is nearing a return, but the way the Predators are going, it will be difficult to crack the lineup.

Viktor Stalberg
Thornton (lower-body) has been placed on injured reserve.

Thornton will miss his fourth consecutive game tonight vs. the Capitals. Placing Thornton on IR enabled the Panthers to activate Aleksander Barkov and Scottie Upshall from IR without having to send anyone to the minors.

Shawn Thornton
Bobrovsky gets the nod for the Blue Jackets.

Bobrovsky made 33 saves in Saturday’s 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins. Goalie Bob has been on fire, winning his last six consecutive starts with a 1.91 GAA and .943 SV%. Tonight he will face a Red Wings team looking to avoid a season-high fourth straight loss. The Wings are the league’s seventh highest scoring team, but the way Bob is going right now, he is a safe start.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Dubnyk starts Tuesday vs. the Oilers.

Dubnyk allowed three goals on 35 shots in the in the Coyotes loss to the Wild on Saturday. Despite the loss and not recording a win since November 22nd, Dubnyk will get his second straight start. In his first start vs. his former team, Dubnyk made 33 saves in a 2-1 win.

Devan Dubnyk
Anderson starts Wednesday vs. the Devils.

Anderson allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Senators loss to the Kings last Thursday. Robin Lehner got the last two starts, but it will be Anderson tonight in New Jersey. He has just one victory in his last eight starts (1-6-1) while posting a 3.27 GAA and .903 SV%. It has not been pretty for Andy, but he draws a strong matchup tonight.
