


Luongo allowed one goal on 22 shots after replacing Al Montoya in the Panthers’ loss in Minnesota on Sunday. The 36-year-old finished February with a 4-2-2 record, 3.01 GAA and .900 SV%.Tonight he faces a Jets team that has lost five of their last six contests.

Allen allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Blues win in Carolina on Sunday. It was Allen’s first win since coming back from a knee injury and 19th of the season. Allen has gone 8-5-2 with a 2.59 GAA and .919 SV% o the road this season and tonight he faces a Senators team that has won five of their last six.


Vasilevskiy stopped 29 of 30 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Coyotes last Tuesday. He spent the weekend with Syracuse (AHL) but is back with the Lightning and will start tonight after Ben Bishop went on Sunday. Vasilevskiy has gone 10-5-0 with a 2.75 GAA and .910 SV% this season and draws a strong matchup against the fire-selling Maple Leafs.


Domingue allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Coyotes loss in Philadelphia on Saturday. Despite allowed three-plus goals for the fifth time in six games and riding a five-game winning streak, Domingue to start again tonight in Pittsburgh. Domingue draws a tough matchup in Pittsburgh—he is 3-6-1 with a 2.78 GAA and .915 SV% on the road this season.



Backstrom has not appeared in an NHL game this season and reportedly waived his no trade clause to go to Calgary in hope of playing an NHL game down the stretch. He was 5-7-3 with a 3.04 GAA and .887 SV% in 2014-15.

Jones has 15 points (9G / 6A) in 59 games this season. He was a low-cost addition to provide the Wild with depth on the wing.

Gaudet, 22, has split his season with Arizona and Springfield. Gaudet has three points (1G / 2A) in 14 games with the Coyotes and seven points (1G / 6A) in 26 games with the Falcons.

Cunningham has spent the majority of the season with Springfield, picking up 34 points (17G / 17A) in 42 games. Cunningham has picked up one assist in 10 games with the Coyotes.

Potter, 32, has 17 points (5G / 12A) in 52 games with Springfield (AHL) this season. This is an American Hockey League trade, he will report to Milwaukee.

Pouliot suffered a shoulder on Sunday and could miss the remainder of the regular season. With Pouliot out, Nail Yakupov is expected to move into the top-6 on Connor McDavid’s line.

Coreau, 24, will backup Jimmy Howard tonight with Petr Mrazek out with a “tender groin.” The 6-foot-six netminder has had a good season with Grand Rapids, posting a 26-10-2 with a 2.27 GAA and .928 SV%.

The Red Wings surprisingly announced that Jimmy Howard would start tonight, but we now know it’s because Mrazek is day-to-day with a minor groin injury. With Mrazek out, they have recalled Jared Coreau from Grand Rapids (AHL) to back up Howard.

Voracek suffered the injury on February 25th and will miss roughly two weeks. He was reportedly spotted wearing a boot, so the “lower-body” injury is expected to be foot or ankle related. With Voracek out, Sam Gagner is expected to skate in the top-six.

Maroon, 27, has picked up just 13 points (4G / 9A) in 56 games this season after posting 34 (9G / 25A) in 71 last season. With the acquisition of Jamie McGinn, Maroon became expendable. He should get a bigger opportunity in Edmonton.
