Markstrom is in the starter's crease at New Jersey's morning skate.

The Devils are riding a three-game winning streak and will likely turn to Markstrom between the pipes on Wednesday night against the St. Louis Blues. After struggling to receive adequate goaltending the past several seasons, the Devils have been thrilled with early-season results from Markstrom. The 34-year-old netminder has a 2.51 GAA and .907 SV% in 16 games (10-5-1) and has improved as the season has gone on, posting a .921 SV% in his last nine games (7-2-0). The Devils enter the action on Wednesday as sizeable -227 home favorites against a Blues club coming off an impressive 5-2 win over the New York Rangers.

Mermis has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies (AHL) on a LTIR conditioning loan.

Mermis signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Maple Leafs in the offseason but has not played yet in the 2024-25 season due to an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old underwent successful jaw surgery at the end of September. In 47 games with Minnesota in 2023-24, he had three goals, eight points and 33 PIMs.

Bobrovsky is expected to start vs. Toronto on Wednesday.

The Panthers, amid a season-worst four-game losing skid, outscored 20-9, will likely turn to Bobrovsky between the pipes on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 36-year-old Bobrovsky has been unspectacular this season, posting a 3.18 GAA and .885 SV% in 15 games (9-5-1), and has allowed four or more goals in three of his last four (1-3-0). That said, the Panthers enter Wednesday's contest as -133 home favorites against a Maple Leafs club riding a four-game winning streak.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Broberg (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice and could play as early as Saturday.

Broberg has missed the last 11 games with a knee injury he suffered on November 2nd. The 23-year-old was a full participant in Tuesday's practice but likely won't play Wednesday in New Jersey. Head coach Jim Montgomery didn't want to speculate on Broberg's return, but it seems it could be as soon as Saturday vs. the Flyers.

Philip Broberg
Rosen has been reassigned to Rochester (AHL).

Rosen made his NHL debut last season, playing seven games with the Sabres, but has predominantly been an AHL player, including scoring 13 points (4G / 9A) in 14 games with the Rochester Americans this season. The 21-year-old Rosen was the 14th overall pick of the Sabres in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He returns to the Rochester Americans (AHL), clearing space for Tage Thompson to be activated from Injured Reserve.

Isak Rosen
Kochetkov (concussion) is out vs. New York on Wednesday but only considered day-to-day.

Kochetkov left Saturday's game in overtime following a collision with Zach Werenski. The Hurricanes recalled Yaniv Perets from Chicago (AHL) on Sunday, who has served as the backup to Spencer Martin since Kochetkov's absence. Martin will likely tend the twine again on Wednesday but the 25-year-old Kochetkov could be ready to suit up this weekend.

Pyotr Kochetkov
Vejmelk will start in Montreal on Tuesday.

With Connor Ingram (upper body) sidelined, Vejmelka has been thrust into the spotlight for Utah HC and has been admirable between the pipes lately. The Czech netminder boasts a stellar 2.30 GAA and .926 SV% in 10 appearances (2-6-0). In his previous three outings (1-2-0), Vejmelka has a .947 SV%, arguably showcasing the most consistent goaltending of his four-year NHL career. Utah HC enters Tuesday's contest as -125 road favorites against a Montreal Canadiens club that ranks in the bottom half of the league offensively.

Karel Vejmelka

Timo Meier
Lankinen will start in Boston on Tuesday.

Despite some recent struggles, allowing three or more goals in four of his last five games (2-3-0), Lankinen has been solid for the Canucks this season and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins. The 29-year-old Lankinen is sporting a 2.74 GAA and .901 SV% in 14 games this season (9-3-2). The Canucks enter the action on Tuesday as +103 road underdogs against a Boston Bruins club that has failed to score more than two goals in five straight (2-2-1).

Chytil exited last Thursday's game after playing 9:37 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury and has not played since. The 25-year-old Chytil has battled injuries the past two seasons but was having a strong 2024-25 campaign with nine points (4G / 5A) in 15 games. Jonny Brodzinski has drawn into the lineup since Chytil's absence.

Filip Chytil
Kreider (upper-body) will travel with New York on their upcoming road trip but is still considered day-to-day.

Kreider did not play on Monday against the St. Louis Blues but is not expected to be out of the lineup for long.
