Heatley (groin) expected to make his Ducks' debut on Tuesday.

Heatley had been working his way back from a preseason groin injury and skated on the Ducks' top-line this morning, so expect him to play tonight vs. the Blackhawks. The former 50-goal scorer has been a shadow of his former self in recent years, but if anyone can rejuvenate his career, it is Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

Dany Heatley
Stanton (lower-body) is "really close" to returning to the Canucks blueline.

Stanton has been out since October 17th because of a lower-body injury that he suffered vs. the Oilers. Stanton is not known for his offence, but stabilizes the Canucks blueline with safe defensive play. He remains day-to-day, but should return at some point this week.

Ryan Stanton
Gibson makes his second start in three games.

Gibson allowed one goal on 17 shots in a winning effort in his return to the Ducks crease last Friday. With Frederik Andersen coming off of his worst performance of the year on Sunday the Ducks to turn to Gibson tonight. It is not a favourable matchup, but he goes head-to-head with Scott Darling making his second NHL start.

John Gibson
Sedin did not skate Monday or Tuesday but will play.

Despite missing yesterday's practice and this morning's gameday skate, Sedin will be in the lineup against the Hurricanes. Henrik has goals in back-to-back games and has a total of 10 points (4G / 6A) in eight games. It has been a nice start for the Sedin's, who appear to be a back on track after an off-year.

Henrik Sedin
Niemi will start for the Sharks.

Niemi stopped 33 of 34 shots in the 4-1 win over the Ducks on Sunday. The win snapped a two-game losing streak that saw Niemi allow nine goals on 61 shots (.852 SV%). It was a nice bounce-back against a really good Ducks team, so look for him to carry it into tonight in Colorado.

Antti Niemi
Tarasenko (illness) took part in the Blues morning skate; could be available for Tuesday.

Tarasenko missed practice on Monday and was listed as questionable for tonight, but his participation in the morning skate suggests that he will be in the lineup. The Blues did not provide a definitive work on Tarasenko's status, so he will likely be a game-time decision.

Vladimir Tarasenko
Lecavalier (foot) will travel with the Flyers to Florida.

Lecavalier will miss his sixth straight game tonight but he will travel with the team this week, however his status still remains up in the air. He participated in the morning skate which is another positive, but as of right now, he remains without a target date.

Vincent Lecavalier
Miller is expected to start for the Canucks.

Miller allowed two goals on 22 shots in a win over the Capitals on Sunday. Miller has had just one bad start this season, but he has otherwise played very well, winning five of six with a 2.58 GAA and .906 SV%. Tonight he is a must-start at home against the winless Hurricanes.

Ryan Miller
Bortuzzo (upper-body) will not play Tuesday; but is very close.

Bortuzzo is within a few days of returning to the Penguins lineup according to head coach Mike Johnston. Bortuzzo has not played yet this season, but will likely be in the lineup full-time starting next week when Olli Maatta misses four weeks after having surgery to remove a tumour from his neck.

Robert Bortuzzo
Howard wil start vs. the Capitals on Wednesday.

Howard surrendered three goals on 26 shots in the Red Wings comeback OT win over the Penguins last Thursday. Jonas Gustavsson got the call on Saturday, so it is back to Howard on Wednesday. He is 3-1-2 with a 1.95 GAA and .929 SV% in six starts this season, so get him in your lineups.

Jimmy Howard
Gibson was the first off at the Ducks morning skate.

Gibson allowed one goal on 17 shots in a winning effort in his return to the Ducks crease last Friday. With Frederik Andersen coming off of his worst performance of the year on Sunday, look for the Ducks to turn to Gibson tonight. It is not a favourable matchup, but he goes head-to-head with Scott Darling making his second NHL start.

John Gibson
Hiller gets the call in goal for the Flames.

Hiller stopped all 16 shots that he faced in the Flames 5-0 win over the Hurricanes on Thursday. It was a nice easy night for the Swiss netminder who improved to 3-1-0 with a 1.78 GAA and .948 SV% on the season. He has been excellent and draws an OK matchup tonight against a Habs team coming off of a loss to the Oilers last night.

Jonas Hiller
Heatley (groin) could be back in the Ducks lineup on Tuesday.

Heatley has not played yet this season, but he is on the ice for the Ducks' morning skate and is taking line rushes with Corey Perry (Ryan Getzlaf taking the morning off) which would suggest that he will make his Ducks' debut tonight on the top-line. His scoring has fallen off in recent years, but play with Perry and Getzlaf is a good way to ignite your offence.

The Predators have assigned forward Viktor Stalberg to Milwaukee (AHL) on a conditioning assignment.

Stalberg missed the first three games of the season with a lower-body injury, but had played in the last five games, failing to record a point with a minus-1 rating while averaging just 12:20 of playing time. "Viktor has had some unfortunate injury trouble during his last two training camps,” GM David Poile said. “We want Viktor to have some time in Milwaukee to fine tune his game and we look forward to having him back in Nashville.
