Ruutu missed Monday’s practice and will not play on Tuesday due to an illness. Ruutu has no points on the season, so he should be considered in fantasy circles.

Farnham has missed the last eight games with an AC Joint injury, but it looks like he will slot back into the Devils’ fourth line vs. the Hurricanes. He has just three goals and one assist in 19 games this season.

Schneider allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Devils loss in Carolina on Saturday. Schneider has dropped three of his last four starts while posting a 2.71 GAA and .906 SV%. Tonight Schneider will start in Ottawa, he has gone 9-4-2 with a 2.17 GAA and .930 SV% on the road and the Senators are 10-4-4 at home.

Kinkaid allowed two goals on 18 shots in the Devils 2-1 loss to Anaheim on December 19th. Kinkaid has not registered a win since December 3rd, coincidentally against the Hurricanes, who he will face tonight. He stopped 30 of 31 shots in that win and comes into play tonight at 2-4-0 with a 2.48 GAA and .901 SV% on the season.

McElhinney allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Panthers on Sunday. Since Sergei Bobrovsky got hurt, McElhinney has gone 1-2-2 with a 4.14 GAA and .855 SV% in four starts and three relief appearances. He has struggled and the Stars are the highest scoring team in the NHL, so you should probably stay far, far away from McElhinney.

Clarkson has one goal and a minus-5 rating in nine games since returning to the lineup. He is averaging just 9:44 TOI over that span and tonight he will be pulled from the lineup with Nick Foligno back in.

Foligno missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Dallas. With Foligno back in, David Clarkson will be a healthy scratch. Foligno has one goal and three assists in his last four games and 19 points (5G / 14A) in 35 games this season.

Kinkaid allowed two goals on 18 shots in the Devils 2-1 loss to Anaheim on December 19th. Kinkaid has not registered a win since December 3rd, coincidentally against the Hurricanes, who he would face tonight. Reimer stopped all six shots that he faced after replacing Jonathan Bernier in the Maple Leafs blowout loss to the Islanders. Remier will make his first start since December 3rd, after missing time with an undisclosed injury. Reimer is a 7-4-4 with a 1.96 GAA and .936 SV% on the year and will take on a struggling Penguins team tonight—he is 4-2-1 on the road.

Bernier allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Maple Leafs over the Islanders on Sunday. Bernier has now won three of his last four starts and will take on the Islanders again tonight in the second game of a home-and-home. In that four-game stretch, the Maple Leafs have provided Bernier with 17 goals of support (4.25 G/PG), making him a less risky start than normal.

Mike Condon started the first game of the Habs’ back-to-back, so they will go to Scrivens on Tuesday, just a day after being acquired from Edmonton. He was 2-6-1 with a 3.47 GAA and .893 SV% with Bakersfield (AHL) before being dealt. Those sketchy numbers and a matchup with a Panthers team that has won six in a row, has me looking in other directions.

Quick allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Kings win in Arizona on Saturday. Quick moved to 7-2-0 with a 2.29 GAA and .913 SV% in December and tonight it looks like he will face the Canucks for the third time this season. He is 1-1-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .927 SV% in the first two meetings.

Kuemper was scheduled to start on Monday vs. the Red Wings, but was a late scratch because of an upper-body injury. The only reason he was starting was because Devan Dubnyk was dealing with an arm injury, but he must be feeling better than Kuemper, because Dubnyk will start now.

Darcy Kuemper was scheduled to start on Monday, but has reportedly fallen sick and will now be scratched. Kuemper was originally starting because Dubnyk was fighting an arm injury, but it looks like Dubnyk is good to go, or at least better than Kuemper. Dubnyk has lost his last three games while allowing a combined 10 goals on 103 shots (.903 SV%). Expect confirmation when warmups start.
