Mrazek starts Monday in New Jersey.

Mrazek gave up three goals on 35 shots in the Red Wings 4-3 win over the Sabres on Saturday. Mrazek had a great game and snapped a three-game losing streak for the Red Wings. Jimmy Howard started the first two games vs. the Devils (both losses) but Mrazek goes tonight and he heads to New Jersey with a 6-4-0 record, 2.40 GAA and .929 SV% on the road this season.

Petr Mrazek
Varlamov was the first goalie off at the Avalanche morning skate.

Varlamov was pulled after allowing four goals on 19 shots in Colorado’s loss to the Flames on Saturday. Despite losing four consecutive games with a 4.37 GAA and .856 SV% and Calvin Pickard being perfect in relief on Saturday, Varlamov will start tonight. He draws a tough matchup vs. an Avalanche team that has won five in row.

Semyon Varlamov
Talbot starts Monday vs. the Hurricanes.

Talbot allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Oilers win over the Coyotes on Saturday. The win snapped a four-game losing skid for the Oilers and was a nice way for Talbot to kickoff the 2016 section of the season. Tonight he will face a Carolina team that has won three of their last five—Talbot is 4-5-0 with a 2.80 GA and .911 SV%.

Cam Talbot
Hammond starts Monday vs. the Blues.

Hammond allowed two goals on 20 shots in the Senators loss to the Devils on Wednesday. Craig Anderson got the nod last night, so Hammond will start the second game of the back-to-back set. He has not recorded a win since November 12th and comes into play at 2-3-2 with a 2.42 GAA and .923 SV% on the season.

Andrew Hammond
Carlson (lower-body) will not play on Tuesday; could return on Thursday.

Carlson will travel with the team on their road trip, but will not play tomorrow against the Bruins. Carlson skated this morning which is a great sign, so look for him to join the team later in the week and monitor his status prior to Thursday’s contest.

John Carlson
The Blue Jackets have placed Andrew Bodnarchuk on waivers.

Bodnarchuk appeared in 16 games with the Blue Jackets when their blueline was battling injury issues, but he has been a healthy scratch in the last three games and with David Savard back, Bodnarchuk finds himself on waivers for purpose of assignment.

Mrazek was the first goalie off of the ice at the Red Wings optional morning skate.

Petr Mrazek
Condon starts Wednesday vs. the Devils.

Condon made 27 saves on 28 shots in the Canadiens’ dominant win over the Bruins in the Winter Classic. After a lengthy winning streak, Condon has now won two in a row while stopping 63 of 67 shots (.940 SV%). Tonight he will face the Devils for the third time this season—he is 1-0-1 with a 2.35 GAA and .914 SV% in the first two games.

Mike Condon
Scrivens starts Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Scrivens made 27 saves on 30 shots in the Canadiens loss in Florida on December 29th. It was a so-so Montreal debut for Scrivens, who got a free trip to the Winter Classic after being acquired from Edmonton. Tonight Scrivens draws a nice matchup against the Flyers, who have lost three straight and rank 28th in the NHL with 2.06 goals per game on home ice.

Ben Scrivens
Rask will likely start Tuesday vs. the Capitals.

Rask allowed five goals on 30 shots in the Bruins loss to the Canadiens in the Winter Classic. The stat line looks bad, but Rask was the only reason the Bruins didn’t get blown out in the first period. It was a tough start to 2016 for Rask, but if he can pick up where he left off in December, the Bruins will be in tremendous hands.

Tuukka Rask
Bolland (lower-body) is out until after the All Star break.

Bolland has missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury and conditioning stint, but is still not healthy enough to rejoin the Panthers lineup. Bolland will be out until early-February.

Dave Bolland
Cammalleri (upper-body) will not play on Monday.

Cammalleri will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. Cammalleri skated on his own on Sunday, but is still not well enough to play vs. the Red Wings this evening. Consider him day-to-day and his injury means that Tyler Kennedy will continue to skate in the top-6.

Michael Cammalleri
Prust is questionable for Monday with a knee injury.

Prust suffered a knee injury in a collision with Ryan Kesler in Friday’s win over the Ducks. Prust has dealt with ankle injuries earlier in the year and now it looks like he may miss time with a banged up knee. With Prust likely out, Jared McCann is expected to be back in the lineup.

Brandon Prust
Schneider will start Monday vs. the Red Wings.

Schneider allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Devils win over the Stars on Saturday. Schneider has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.01 GAA and .933 SV%. Tonight he draws a matchup that he’s enjoyed this season—he’ll face the Red Wings for the third time after going 2-0-0 with a 2.42 GAA and .912 SV% in the first two meetings.

Cory Schneider
The Blue Jackets have recalled Joonas Korpisalo from Lake Erie (AHL).

Korpisalo was originally sent down because Sergei Bobrovsky was expected to return to the crease, but Bobrovsky suffered a setback and is back on IR. Then, Curtis McElhinney landed on IR, so back comes Korpisalo, who will join Anton Forsberg as the Blue Jackets’ goalies for the foreseeable future. Korpisalo is 1-4-0 with a 3.65 GAA and .886 SV% in five starts.
