Reimer stopped all six shots that he faced after replacing Jonathan Bernier in the Maple Leafs blowout loss to the Islanders. Remier will make his first start since December 3rd, after missing time with an undisclosed injury. Reimer is a 7-4-4 with a 1.96 GAA and .936 SV% on the year and will take on a struggling Penguins team tonight—he is 4-2-1 on the road.

Bernier allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Maple Leafs over the Islanders on Sunday. Bernier has now won three of his last four starts and will take on the Islanders again tonight in the second game of a home-and-home. In that four-game stretch, the Maple Leafs have provided Bernier with 17 goals of support (4.25 G/PG), making him a less risky start than normal.

Mike Condon started the first game of the Habs’ back-to-back, so they will go to Scrivens on Tuesday, just a day after being acquired from Edmonton. He was 2-6-1 with a 3.47 GAA and .893 SV% with Bakersfield (AHL) before being dealt. Those sketchy numbers and a matchup with a Panthers team that has won six in a row, has me looking in other directions.

Quick allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Kings win in Arizona on Saturday. Quick moved to 7-2-0 with a 2.29 GAA and .913 SV% in December and tonight it looks like he will face the Canucks for the third time this season. He is 1-1-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .927 SV% in the first two meetings.

Kuemper was scheduled to start on Monday vs. the Red Wings, but was a late scratch because of an upper-body injury. The only reason he was starting was because Devan Dubnyk was dealing with an arm injury, but he must be feeling better than Kuemper, because Dubnyk will start now.

Darcy Kuemper was scheduled to start on Monday, but has reportedly fallen sick and will now be scratched. Kuemper was originally starting because Dubnyk was fighting an arm injury, but it looks like Dubnyk is good to go, or at least better than Kuemper. Dubnyk has lost his last three games while allowing a combined 10 goals on 103 shots (.903 SV%). Expect confirmation when warmups start.

Carlson took warmups, but was a late scratch due to a lower-body injury. Connor Carrick will replace him.

Carlson was listed as a game-time decision, but he is on the ice for warmups, which is a good sign that he will play his 413th consecutive game. He has emerged as one of fantasy hockey’s best defensemen, so make sure he’s in your lineup.

Jhonas Enroth left the ice shortly after Quick and this is game one of a back-to-back, so there is no guarantee that it will be Quick tonight.

Lindback was excellent on Sunday, stopping 38 of 39 shots in the 2-1 OT win in Colorado. Lindback has been so inconsistent this year and for most of his NHL career—he sits at 2-1-1 with a 3.43 GAA and .885 SV% in December. His unpredictability and a matchup against the defending Stanley Cup Champions makes Lindback a scary option on Tuesday.

Markstrom allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Canucks win over the Oilers on Saturday. With Ryan Miller out, Markstrom remains the starter and he comes in having one two in a row while stopping 58 of 60 (.967 SV%) shots. He has played well as of late and will take on a Kings team that has lost four of their last six. In his first start vs. L.A, Markstrom stopped 38 of 40 shots in a 2-1 OT loss.

Fowler has a sprained knee and will be reevaluated later in the week. As of now there is no timetable for his return, but his move to IR means he will miss at least one week.

Rinne allowed three goals on 23 shots in the Predators loss to the Red Wings on Saturday. Rinne will make his ninth consecutive start tonight, which will be his 12th in December—he has gone 4-5-2 with a 2.39 GAA and .909 SV% so far this month. Rinne will face a Rangers team on home ice, where he is 11-4-3 this season.
