



Ward allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Hurricanes win over Montreal last night. Despite the busy evening, the Hurricanes will go back to Ward today vs. Arizona. Ward has been solid on home-ice this season, going 5-2-3 with a 2.48 GAA and .906 SV% at PNC Arena. Today he has a good matchup, but the back-to-back start is always dangerous.


Rask allowed two goals on 26 shots after replacing Jonas Gustavsson in last night’s overtime loss to the Flames. With Gustavsson stinking up the joint yesterday, it is expected to be Rask tonight in Vancouver. Rask has gone 4-1-2 with a 2.19 GAA and .934 SV% in six starts plus last night’s appearance on the road this season.

Carr, 24, has scored eight goals with nine assists (17 points) in 21 games with St. John’s this season. Carr will replace Devante Smith-Pelly in the lineup and should skate on the fourth line.

Condon allowed three goals on 19 shots in the Canadiens loss to the Capitals on Thursday. He wasn’t overly busy, but also wasn’t overly impressive either. He has started the last four games, going 2-1-1 with a 2.19 GAA and .910 SV%. He should be able to get back into the win column tonight with an excellent matchup vs. the Hurricanes.

Halak made 33 saves on 34 shots in the Islanders’ win over the Rangers on Wednesday. Thomas Greiss got the nod last night, so Halak will go tonight in Ottawa. Halak has gone 3-1-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .927 SV% in his last five starts and comes into play on Saturday with a 1-2-2 record, 1.76 GAA and .929 SV%on the road this season.


Bobrovsky stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Blue Jackets shootout loss to the Panthers last night. Bobrovsky has lost three in a row despite posting an impressive 1.64 GAA and .944 SV%. Tonight he faces his former team that has struggled this season, but come in having won four in a row.

Condon allowed three goals on 19 shots in the Canadiens loss to the Capitals on Thursday. He wasn’t overly busy, but also wasn’t overly impressive either. Fleury allowed one goal on 34 shots in the Penguins 5-1 win in San Jose on Tuesday. Pittsburgh has a Saturday-Sunday back-to-back and it looks like Fleury will get things started today vs. the Kings. Fleury has been excellent on the road this season, going 5-3-1 with a 1.78 GAA and .944 SV% in nine road starts.

Quick made 15 saves on 16 shots in the Kings win over Vancouver on Tuesday. Quick has won two in a row and three out of the last four while posting an impressive 1.21 GAA and .951 SV%. He was the first goalie off at Friday’s practice, so it looks like he will start this afternoon vs. the Penguins. Quick has gone 8-5-0 with a 2.21 GAA and .913 SV% in 13 starts at STAPLES Center this season.

Crawford allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Blackhawks loss in Ottawa on Thursday. He has lost each of his starts this week, allowing a combined six goals on 63 shots (.905 SV%). This is the worst season that Crawford has had since 2011. Today he takes on the Jets at home, where he has been much better this season—he is 6-3-1 with a 2.10 GAA and .927 SV% at the United Center.


Hellebuyck made 32 saves on 33 shots in the Jets 6-1 blowout win over the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Hellebuyck has stopped 46 of 48 shots (.948 SV%) to pick up back-to-back wins to start his NHL career. His career might be off to a blistering start, but he draws a very difficult matchup this afternoon with the Capitals in town.
