Bishop was brilliant on Wednesday, stopping 37 of 38 shots in the Lightning’s 2-1 shootout win over the Kings. Bishop has been fantastic recently, winning three in a row while allowing just two goals on 89 shots (.978 SV%). With Andrei Vasilevskiy starting last night, look for Bishop to go tonight vs. the Islanders.


Johnson stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Sabres win over the Hurricanes last night. Johnson has stopped 39 of the last 40 shots (.975 SV%) that he has faced. Despite Linus Ullmark taking over as the Sabres’ No. 1 briefly, Johnson’s recent string of strong play earns him starts on back-to-back nights.

Zatkoff allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Penguins loss in New Jersey on November 14th. Zatkoff has gone 2-1-0 with a 2.63 GAA and .934 SV% in three starts and one relief appearance this season. Zatkoff is a quality backup, who draws a strong matchup against the NHL’s last place team.

Greiss allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Islanders loss in Montreal last Sunday. Greiss is 2-3-0 with a 1.96 GAA and .928 SV% in four starts and one relief appearance in the month of November. Tonight he will face a Lightning team that has won three of four, averaging 2.75 goals per game over that span.

Condon allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Canadiens shootout win over the Devils last night. Condon and Cory Schneider will face each other again tonight, this time in Montreal. The Devils don’t score a tonne, so it’s a good matchup, but starting a goalie on a back-to-back is always risky.

Hiller has been out with a hip injury since October 28th, but will be back in the Flames’ crease on Saturday. Prior to getting injured Hiller was 2-3-0 with a 3.67 GAA and .861 SV% in six starts and one relief appearance. In his first game back, Hiller is a risky start against a Sharks team that has won six of seven.

Niemi allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Stars win over the Canucks last night. With Kari Lehtonen out and Niemi coming off of a strong game, it looks like he will start for the second straight evening. Niemi has gone 3-3-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .903 SV% in the month of November. Tonight he will take on a Wild team who has dropped five of their last six games.

Jones surrendered four goals on 25 shots in the Sharks loss to Chicago on Wednesday. The loss snapped Jones’ five-game winning streak and continued his strange struggles on home-ice. Jones has gone 2-5-0 with a 2.86 GAA and .894 SV% at the SAP Center versus 9-1-0 on the road. He draws a great matchup tonight vs. a Flames team that has lost three of their last five.

Hannikainen, 22, had 11 points (5G / 6A) in 17 games with Lake Erie before being recalled. He was a healthy scratch on Friday, but with Brandon Dubinsky suspended, Hannikainen is expected to get into the lineup.

Agozzino will move onto the Avs’ fourth line for Saturday’s game vs. the Jets. The 24-year-old has 16 points (7G / 9A) in 13 games with San Antonio (AHL) this season.

Anderson allowed three goals on 43 shots in the Senators win in Colorado on Wednesday. Anderson has won four consecutive games while posting a 1.75 GAA, .950 SV% and two shutouts. Overall, he is 10-4-3 this season and will be making his second start vs. the Coyotes—he allowed three goals on 25 shots in a 4-1 loss in the first meeting.

Tonight he will make his second start against the Blackhawks—he allowed four goals on 26 shots in a 4-2 loss in the first meeting.
