The Lightning have signed Ryan Callahan to a 6-year contract extension worth $34.8 million.

Callahan was acquired with a pair of draft picks for Martin St. Louis at the trade deadline. In 20 games with the Lightning he had six goals and five assists (11 points) to go along with a plus-4 rating. Callahan did not see a ton of playing time with Steven Stamkos next season, but that is something that may change heading into 2014-15. He is typically good for 20-plus goals and 20-plus assists, but regular ice-time with Stamkos and we could see those numbers inflate.

The Canadiens have signed Andrei Markov to a three-year contract extension with an annual cap-hit of $5.75 million.

Markov, 35, had seven goals and 36 assists (43 points) in 81 games. After a couple of tough years battling injury, Markov has only missed one game over the last two seasons. He is getting up there in age, but 2013-14 was one of the best offensive years of his career. He heads into 2014-15 as a top-20 fantasy blueliner.

The Blue Jackets have traded R.J Umberger and a fourth-round pick to the Flyers for Scott Hartnell.

Umberger, 32, scored 18 goals with 16 assists (32 points) in 74 games with the Blue Jackets this season. The Pennsylvania native is heading home to play for a Flyers team that he played three season with from 2005-08. Umberger's fantasy value would spike if he replaces Hartnell on the Flyers top-line with Claude Giroux.

The Blue Jackets have acquired Scott Hartnell from the Flyers for R.J Umberger and a 2015 fourth-round pick.

Hartnell, 32, has spent the seven seasons in Philadelphia and is coming off of a season where he scored 20 goals with 32 assists (52 points) in 78 games. Hartnell has scored at a 24.9 goal per 82-game pace in his seven seasons with the Flyers. Not playing with Claude Giroux could hurt his performance, but the Jackets have a number of skilled centres that could mesh well with Hartnell.

The Islanders signed Jaroslav Halak to a four-year deal worth $16 million back on May 22.

Halak was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent July 1. The Islanders acquired his rights from the Washington Capitals on May 1 in a trade for a fourth-round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft. Halak won 29 games this season. He was fourth in the NHL with five shutouts and eighth with a 2.25 goals-against average.

On Tuesday, the Sharks re-signed tough-guy Mike Brown to a two-year deal worth $2.4 million.

Brown totaled two goals and three assists with 94 penalty minutes in 56 games between the Oilers and Sharks. The Sharks acquired Brown from Edmonton in late October in exchange for a fourth-round pick.

Mike Brown
The Sharks re-signed goaltender Alex Stalock to a two-year deal worth $3.2 million on Tuesday.

In his first season as a full-time NHLer, Stalock proved to be a more than capable backup to Antti Niemi. Stalock pushed Niemi for the starting job all season, finishing up the year 12-5-2 with a 1.87 GAA and .932 SV%. He also saw some playing time in the postseason, where he turned aside 52 of 56 shots (.929 SV%).

Alex Stalock
The Flyers signed 39-year-old defenseman Kimmo Timonen to a one-year, $2 million dollar contract extension last Friday.

During his seven seasons with the Flyers, Timonen has won five Barry Ashbee trophies as the team’s best defenseman, including the last three in a row. Timonen finished the 2013-14 season with six goals and 29 assists (35 points) in 77 games. In seven years with Philly he has averaged 38.6 points per season, that is including 29 points in 45 games in the lockout shortened season. Despite getting up there in age, Timonen has only missed a total of 21 regular season games in his tenure with the Flyers. He should be a reliable blueliner yet again in 2014-15.

Quick will be between the pipes for game four.

Quick stopped all 32 shots that the Rangers through his way in the Kings' 3-0 win on Monday. The win gave LA a 3-0 series and a chance to sweep the Rangers for the Stanley Cup tonight. Quick might not win the Conn Smythe this season, but he has been great for the Kings throughout the playoffs.

Jonathan Quick
Lundqvist starts game four for the Rangers.

Lundqvist allowed three goals on 15 shots in the 3-0 loss in game three. The loss put the Rangers on the brink of elimination and gives the Kings four chances to win one game for the Stanley Cup. Lundqvist has a .922 SV% this postseason, but has struggled in the Finals, posting an .892 through the first three games.

Henrik Lundqvist
Quick starts game three for the Kings.

Quick allowed four goals on 38 shots in a 5-4 double OT win over the Rangers in game two. He has stopped 59 of 65 shots (.908 SV%) through two games of the Stanley Cup Final. That save percentage is identical to Henrik Lundqvist's as these two elite goaltenders go head-to-head for Lord Stanley.

Jonathan Quick
Lundqvist will be in goal for the Rangers in game three.

Lundqvist allowed five goals on 44 shots in the Rangers' 5-4 double overtime loss to the Kings in game two. He has made 79 saves on 87 shots (.908 SV%) through the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final. The Rangers have blown a two goal lead in both games which makes the 2-0 series deficit all the more frustrating for New York. They head back to Madison Square Garden where Lundqvist is 6-4 this postseason.

Henrik Lundqvist
The Islanders acquired the negotiating rights to Dan Boyle in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick on Thursday.

The 37-year-old Boyle is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. The Sharks had already announced that they will not re-sign Boyle and will end up receiving a fourth-round pick should Boyle sign with the Islanders before next season. Boyle earned just under $7 million with the Sharks this season. He led the club's defencemen with 36 points and 12 goals in 75 games and added four assists in San Jose's first-round, seven-game playoff loss to Los Angeles.

Dan Boyle
Lundqvist starts game one of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Lundqvist stopped all 18 shots he faced in the Rangers 1-0 win over the Canadiens in game six of the Eastern Conference Finals. King Henrik finished the series with a 2.15 GAA and .922 SV% and sits atop the postseason leaders with a .928 SV% in 20 starts. The matchup between Lundqvist and Jonathan Quick will likely decide who wins this series.

Quick will start game one of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Quick stopped 37 of 41 shots in the Kings' 5-4 OT win over the Blackhawks in game seven on Thursday. He finished the series with a 3.11 GAA and .889 SV% and now holds a 2.86 GAA and .906 SV% in the postseason. Quick has gone 2-1-0 with a 1.97 GAA and .920 SV% against the Rangers in his career.

Carcillo has had his suspension reduced from 10 games to six by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.

Carcillo was originally given an automatic 10-game suspension for making contact with an official in game three versus the Canadiens. The reduction of the suspension to six games means that Carcillo is eligible to return to the Rangers' lineup by game four of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Dan Carcillo
The Predators have signed Carter Hutton to a two-year deal worth $700,000 in 2014-15 and $750,000 in 2015-16.

Starter Pekka Rinne is signed for the next seven years. The Predators signed Hutton last offseason under the recommendation of goaltending coach Mitch Korn. The latter helped turn Hutton into a viable NHL backup with a 2.62 goals against average and .910 save percentage and a 20-11-4 record. Before last season, Hutton had played just one NHL game.

Carter Hutton
Weise suffered a concussion in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Head coach Michel Therrien did not call the injury a concussion at first, however it seemed pretty clear that he had suffered a head injury opposed to what Therrien called a "body" injury. John Moore will miss game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals as a result of his two-game suspension for the hit on Weise.
