Kane has been sidelined since October 24th with an MCL injury but returned to the ice on Tuesday. Kane is three weeks into a 4-6 week timetable, so it looks as if he is on pace to return at the front-end of that timetable.

Mason gave up two goals on 21 shots in the Flyers’ win over the Hurricanes on Saturday. It was a nice bounce-back performance for Mason, who will make his third straight start tonight. Mason has posted a 3.37 GAA and .895 SV% in 10 games this season and will be in tough tonight with Los Angeles in town. The Kings have won three of four entering play tonight.

McKenzie has been out with a lower-body injury so he will head to the AHL to get some games under his belt and he will likely be one of the first forwards called up when Dallas is in need.

Ullmark has outplayed Chad Johnson, earning himself the start tonight vs. Dallas. He is a risky start against the NHL’s highest scoring team—Dallas averages 3.61 goals per game.

Keranen currently leads Iowa with eight points (4G / 4A) in 13 games this season. The 25-year-old could make his NHL debut on Tuesday.

Berra made 39 saves on 40 shots in Saturday’s 6-1 win over the Canadiens. Berra struggled in his first full season with the Avalanche, posting a 2.65 GAA and .918 SV%, but 2015-16 has be a rebirth for the 28-year-old. Berra currently leads the NHL in GAA (1.50) and SV% (.953). Tonight he will face a Maple Leafs team that has warmed up, but it is still a good matchup.

Jones made 30 saves on 31 shots in the Sharks win in Buffalo on Saturday. Jones won both games of San Jose’s back-to-back last weekend, stopping 56 of 59 shots (.949 SV%). On Tuesday he will make his eighth road start of the season—he has been spectacular away from San Jose this season, going 6-1-0 with a 1.68 GAA and .939 SV%.

Ramo allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Flames loss in Chicago on Sunday. Since being recalled from Stockton (AHL), Ramo has gone 4-4-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .905 SV%. On Tuesday he will make his ninth consecutive start—he will face a Devils team that ranks 21st in scoring but still carry a 10-6-1 record.

Schneider stopped all 21 shots that he faced in the Devils’ shutout win over the Penguins on Saturday. Schneider has been insane over the last 30 days, winning nine of 12 while posting a 1.98 GAA and .926 SV%. Schneider is one of the NHL’s hottest net minders and is a must-start vs. the Flames, who have lost three of four.

Nugent-Hopkins missed Saturday’s game and now Monday’s practice, which clouds his status for Wednesday’s game vs. the Blackhawks. Monitor RNH’s status as the week progresses.

Grant had no points and a minus-3 rating in one games during his time with the Flames. He may have failed to record a point, but he was impressive in the face-off circle, winning 56.8% of the face-offs he took, tops on the team. His demotion suggests that Jonas Hiller is ready to be activated from IR.

Galiev, 23, was 10 days into his 14 day conditioning stint. During his stint he appeared in five games, registering three goals over that span.

Hickey skated for the first time since suffering a left leg injury in late October. Hickey was originally expected to miss one month and it looks as if his recovery is right on schedule.

Hornqvist left Saturday’s game in New Jersey with an undisclosed injury and he missed Monday’s practice. A number of Penguins’ forwards missed practice because of illnesses, but there was no word whether that is what Hornqvist is dealing with. Expect an update on his status on Tuesday.

Schultz is two and a half weeks into a 2-4 week timetable. He was in practice on Monday and rotated into his regular spot during line rushes which indicates he is nearing a return to the lineup. Monitor Schultz’s status as the week progresses.

Zubrus was released from his tryout with the Blues 10 days ago but has begun a new tryout with the Sharks.

Bogosian is expected to play this week and it could be as soon as Tuesday. Bogosian has yet to play this season because of a lower-body injury but has been practicing and is definitely close to play. The 25-year-old had seven assists while averaging 26:34 in 21 games with the Sabres last season.

Chiarot was a minus-2 in 10:05 on Saturday and will be replaced by Adam Pardy tonight in St. Louis.
