Couturier admitted that he is dealing with a concussion after Tuesday’s morning skate. He will not be in the lineup tonight vs. Buffalo but he could be back in the lineup on Thursday.

Dubnyk’s availability for tonight’s game was in question because of a knee injury, but Yeo said he is “good-to-go, no problems” which is good news for the Wild. Dubnyk has won five of seven starts this season while posting a 2.27 GAA and .909 SV%. If he is able to start, he will face his former team, who he has gone 5-1-0 with a 0.99 GAA and .960 SV% against in his career.

Puempel has scored three goals and two assists (five points) in six games with Binghamton this season. He has been recalled because the Senators will be without Mike Hoffman and Curtis Lazar tonight. Puempel will skate on the Sens’ second line—he has scored two goals with one assist in 13 career NHL games.

Hanzal recorded his 10th assist on Monday, but only played 5:39 before retiring to the dressing room for the night. He was listed as a game-time decision before the game, but there is no word whether he re-aggravated that injury. There was no further update on Hanzal’s status, which puts his status for Tuesday’s game in jeopardy.

Nurse has registered one assist in six games with Bakersfield this season and has been recalled after the Oilers placed Griffin Reinhart (undisclosed) on IR. Nurse could make his season debut on Tuesday vs. the Wild.

Reinhart will miss his fourth consecutive game with an undisclosed injury. The Oilers have not said what is wrong with Reinhart, but he has been moved to IR which allowed the Oilers to recall Darnell Nurse from Bakersfield (AHL).

Schultz left Sunday’s game with an undisclosed injury and it will keep him out of Tuesday’s contest. There is no word on what is ailing Schultz, but he will miss at least one game. Keep an eye on him in advance of Thursday’s clash with the Canadiens.

McCarthy did not record a shot or point in Saturday’s game vs. the Hurricanes. He played just 7:05 TOI and his return to the AHL suggests that Joonas Donskoi will be back in the lineup on Wednesday.

Mueller was a healthy scratch on Saturday with Paul Martin back in the lineup. Martin did not suffer any setbacks in the game, so Mueller heads back to the AHL.

Lerg did not record a point and had one shot on goal in three games with the Sharks. His return to the AHL suggests that Ben Smith could be back in the lineup on Wednesday vs. Nashville.

Vasilevskiy has missed the first nine games of the season with a blood clot, but returned to practice on Monday. Vasilevskiy will take over as the Lightning’s backup goalie as soon as he is ready to go, but he will likely head to the AHL for conditioning before he fully takes over. Kristen Gudlevskis will serve as Ben Bishop’s backup until Vasilevskiy is 100 percent.

Elliott did not take part in practice on Monday because he wasn’t feeling well. The Blues have already announced that Jake Allen will start on Tuesday, so now it is a matter of if Elliott feels well enough to back Allen up tomorrow.

The Panthers caught a break when the doctors announced that Barkov will not require surgery on his broken hand and could only miss two weeks. Barkov has had a great start to the season, registering three goals and three assists in seven games. It sounds like Barkov will miss at least six games, but it could have been worse.

Luongo allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Panthers loss to the Blackhawks last Thursday. Luongo was given Saturday night off but he is expected to get back in goal tonight vs. the Avalanche. Despite posting a 2.17 GAA and .934 SV% in six games, Luongo has only two wins so far this season.

Johansen is dealing with an illness that has caused energy loss, which is why he did not play on Saturday, did not practice today and will not play on Tuesday. The Blue Jackets will continue to do tests on Johansen and should release an update on his status in the next few days.

Allen gave up three goals on 36 shots in the Blues loss in Montreal last Tuesday. Brian Elliott has started five of eight games, but Allen will go tonight vs. the Lightning. Shattenkirk was once again a full participant in Blues’ practice on Monday, but will miss his sixth straight game on Tuesday. Fabbri missed the last six games with a concussion, but will be back on Tuesday vs. the Lightning. He had one goal in his first two games this season and with Jaden Schwartz out for 12 weeks, Fabbri has a chance to carve out a big role if he plays well. He will start back on the third line with Scott Gomez and Troy Brouwer.

Andersen gave up three goals on 30 shots in the Ducks loss in Minnesota on Saturday. Despite posting a 1.86 GAA and .938 SV% in five starts, Andersen is still searching for his first win of the season. It won’t be easy to get into the win column tonight as Andersen gets set to face the Blackhawks on the road.

Hanzal took part in the Coyotes’ morning skate, but will be a game-time decision tonight due to an undisclosed injury. The Coyotes will probably be without Antoine Vermette for a second straight game, so they can’t afford to lose Hanzal, who is tied for the NHL-lead with nine assists in eight games.
