

Jones allowed four goals on 21 shots in the Sharks loss vs. Columbus on Tuesday. Alex Stalock get the nod on Thursday, but the will go back to Jones tonight vs. Anaheim. After a hot 4-0 start, including a shutout over the Ducks, Jones has gone 2-4-0 in his last six games.



Bishop allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Lightning’s loss in Detroit on Tuesday. Andrei Vasilevskiy starts on Thursday, but the Lightning will go back to Bishop tonight in Minnesota. Bishop has won five of 12 while posting a 2.34 GAA and .917 SV% and he will need to continue to play well if he is going to keep getting consistent starts.

Fleury allowed two goals on 20 shots in the Penguins win over the Canucks on Wednesday. Fleury has won four consecutive starts while posting a 1.00 GAA and .965 SV%. Jeff Zatkoff got the nod last night, so the Penguins will go back to Fleury tonight in Calgary. He is one of the top options available this evening.

Rinne made 27 saves on 29 shots in the Predators win in Minnesota on Thursday. Rinne has alternated wins and losses in his last four games while posting a 2.21 GAA and .913 SV%. Rinne’s season GAA still sits below 2.00 (1.98) and he is a good start whenever he gets the nod.


Gustavsson made 21 saves on 22 shots in the Bruins win in Tampa Bay last Saturday. Tuukka Rask has had his fair share of struggles vs. the Canadiens so the Bruins will give Gustavsson a shot vs. the NHL’s top team. Gustavsson has won each of his first three starts while posting a 2.00 GAA and .914 SV%.





Neuvirth allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Flyers loss in Calgary on Thursday. Neuvirth has started the last two games, stopping 73 of the last 78 shots (.936 SV%) that he has faced. Neuvirth has posted a strong 2.10 GAA and .938 SV% in seven games, but the Flyers sleepy offence has Neuvirth sitting with just two wins.

Gustavsson made 21 saves on 22 shots in the Bruins win in Tampa Bay last Saturday. With Tuukka Rask losing his first two starts vs. the Canadiens this season, the Bruins will give Gustavsson a shot vs. the NHL’s top team. Gustavsson has won each of his first three starts while posting a 2.00 GAA and .914 SV%.

Gagner was a healthy scratch on Thursday vs. the Flames, but will replace Vincent Lecavalier in the lineup tonight in Winnipeg. Gagner, who will centre the third line, has two goals and three assists in 10 games in his first season with the Flyers.

Condon gave up a single goal on 18 shots in the Canadiens win over the Islanders on Thursday. Condon has won five of his first six starts while posting a fantastic 1.50 GAA and .941 SV%. Condon’s start to his NHL career has gone swimmingly, but he draws a tough matchup tonight vs. the NHL’s second highest scoring team.

Petan is day-to-day with an illness and tonight he will be replaced by Patrice Cormier.

Dubnyk allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Wild’s loss to the Predators on Thursday. Debunk has lost his last two starts while allowing three goals in each outing. He has won seven of 11 starts despite posting a SV% under .900 (.896). On Saturday he will face a Lightning team who’s offence surprisingly ranks 18th in the NHL (2.53 G/PG).

Zadorov served as a healthy scratch in three of the last four games. He was a minus-3 in just 10:36 on Thursday and and is a minus-5 on the season. Zadorov was a key piece in the Ryan O’Reilly trade, but is viewed as a bit of a project. He has an extremely projectable frame and a nasty side to his game, but he hasn’t fully developed into an everyday NHL defenseman yet. The AHL will allow him more ice time and freedom to grow.
