Bernier leads the Leafs onto the ice for warmups and starts vs. Luongo and the Canucks.

Bernier stopped 33 of 34 shots in a 4-1 win over Tampa Bay on Thursday. Bernier has won four of his last five starts wit 2.33 GAA and .935 SV%. He draws a strong matchup against a Canucks team who have lost six in a row while being outscored 23-10.

Jonathan Bernier
Luongo in goal for the Canucks.

Luongo allowed four goals on 28 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Canadiens on Thursday. Luongo has now lost four straight starts while allowed 14 goals… Not quite the way he wants to head into the Olympics. He will be in tough tonight against a Maple Leafs squad that knows how to put the puck in the net.

Roberto Luongo
The Flames have signed defenseman Kris Russell to a two-year extension worth $2.26 million per year.

Russell missed close to a month with a knee injury earlier in the year. He returned on January 20 and has recorded four assists in eight games since returning. He has totalled 20 points (4G / 16A) in 43 games this season.

Kris Russell
Johnson leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups; he starts.

Johnson stopped all 22 shots that he faced in a 4-0 win over the Oilers last Saturday. With Tuukka Rask prepared to be the starter for Team Finland in Sochi, they will give him the day off as Johnson gets the nod vs. the Senators. Johnson has yet to lose at home this season, going 5-0-0 with a 1.44 GAA and .939 SV% in five starts at TD Garden.

Chad Johnson
Hiller starts for the Ducks.

HIller allowed two goals on 25 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Blackhawks on Wednesday. Hiller has dropped five of is last six starts while the Ducks slump into the Olympic break. The Swiss Olympian will look to close out his NHL schedule with a win in Nashville before heading to Sochi. The Predators have lost four of six and don't score a ton of goals, Hiller should be a good play tonight.

Jonas Hiller
Hiller was the first goalie off of the ice at the Ducks morning skate; expected to start.

Weiss (sports hernia) will start skating with his former OHL team the Plymouth Whalers on Tuesday. If everything goes well with Plymouth, Weiss is expected to play with Grand Rapids (AHL) on February 21 and 23.

Weiss has been sidelined since December 10 and underwent surgery for a sports hernia on December 23. The two-week Olympic break will help Weiss get back to 100 per cent. If all goes as expected he should rejoin the Red Wings lineup after the break.

Stephen Weiss
The Maple Leafs did not hold a morning skate, but Bernier is expected to get the nod.

Emery leads the Flyers onto the ice for warmups and gets the starts vs. Berra and the Flames.

Emery allowed five goals on 39 shots in a loss to the Blue Jackets in his last start back on January 23. He has had one relief effort since then, giving up two goals on 14 shots vs. the B's. With tonight being the last day of the fantasy week, Emery should make for a strong last-ditch effort spot-start vs. the Flames.

Ray Emery
Giguere gets the call vs. the Islanders.

Giguere stopped 27 of 28 shots in a 2-1 OT win over the Devils on Monday. He had lost his previous four starts so it was good for the veteran to get off the losing train. If you are looking for a spot-start, Giggy should be a strong option as he gets set to face an Isles team who have dropped six of their last seven games.

Hutton gets the start for the nod for the Predators.

Hutton gave up three goals on 36 shots in a 3-2 OT loss to the Wild. Hutton is 2-0-2 with a 2.66 GAA and .911 SV% in his last four starts. Three of those four starts have went longer than 60 minutes, so expect the Predators to play the Ducks tight tonight.

Carter Hutton
Montoya in goal for the Jets.

Al Montoya will start the final game before the Olympic break for the Jets. Jets head coach Paul Maurice said the start comes as a reward for consecutive solid performances by the backup netminder, who has posted victories over the Chicago Blackhawks and Monttreal Canadiens during his past two starts. Montoya is 10-4-1 with a 2.14 GAA and .928 SV% this season, but draws a difficult matchup vs. a strong Blues squad this afternoon.

Al Montoya
Howard gets the nod for the Red Wings.

Howard allowed a single goal on 24 shots in a 3-1 win over the Panthers on Thursday. Howie likely won't see much action in Sochi as he sits behind Ryan Miller and Jonathan Quick, so he will go again tonight in Tampa Bay. The Lightning have lost four of their last five and may have to start their third string netminder, Howie should make for a good start tonight.

Jimmy Howard
Smith back in goal for the Coyotes.

Smith stopped all 30 shots in a 2-0 win over the Blackhawks last night. Smith has turned his game around recently going 2-1-0 with 1.01 GAA and .968 SV% in his last three starts. Tonight he will play Dallas again after losing 2-1 despite making 37 saves on Tuesday.
