Smith back in goal for the Coyotes.

Smith stopped all 30 shots in a 2-0 win over the Blackhawks last night. Smith has turned his game around recently going 2-1-0 with 1.01 GAA and .968 SV% in his last three starts. Tonight he will play Dallas again after losing 2-1 despite making 37 saves on Tuesday.

Mike Smith
Lehtonen gets the call in goal for the Stars.

Lehtonen allowed two goals on 21 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Sharks on Wednesday. The two days off will allow the Stars to turn to Lehtonen in their last game before the Olympic break. He will take on the Coyotes for the second time this week. He stopped 27 of 28 shots in a win over Phoenix on Tuesday.

Kari Lehtonen
Price starts for the Canadiens.

Price stopped 42 of 44 shots in a 5-2 win over fellow Canadian Olympic goalie Roberto Lunogo and the Canucks. It was Price's 25th win of the season, he now sits 3-1-1 with a 1.18 GAA and .966 SV% in his last five starts. Price is red-hot heading into tonight's meeting with the Hurricanes and looks poised to battle Luongo for Team Canada's number-1 spot.

Carey Price
The Lightning recalled Vladislav Namestnikov on Friday and he will be in the lineup tonight.

Namestnikov was the Lightning's 1st round pick (27th overall) in 2011. Tonight he will make his NHL debut on a line with J.T Brown and Nikita Kucherov, a line that played very well for Lightning head coach Jon Cooper when he was with Syracuse (AHL). Namestnikov has 13 goals and 17 assists (30 points) in 31 games with Syracuse (AHL) this season.

Vladislav Namestnikov
Tarasenko (illness) will be back in the lineup on Saturday.

Tarasenko acknowledged he was worried, disappointed to miss Thursday’s game against Boston with the flu-like symptoms and fearful the illness might impact his Olympic experience. “Yeah, I was worried,” said Tarasenko, who has 18 goals and 15 assists. “It happens to everybody, but I wanted to get better as soon as possible.”

Vladimir Tarasenko
Ducks winger Teemu Selanne will not play against the Nashville Predators on Saturday night in order to get some extra rest ahead of competing in his sixth Winter Olympics.

Selanne did not accompany the team to Nashville on Friday as the club and he agreed earlier this week on him skipping the contest before he heads to Sochi to play for Finland. Selanne has been given a lot of rest this season so it is not surprising to see him get rest right before the Olympics.

Teemu Selanne
Nabokov in goal for the Islanders.

Nabokov allowed three goals on 21 shots in a loss to the Flames on Thursday. He has lost three of his last four starts despite posting a 1.94 GAA and .930 SV%. Tonight he gets the start against the Avalanche on Long Island. He enters play with a 3-7-2 record, 2.62 GAA and .910 SV% at home this season.

Evgeni Nabokov
Bishop (upper-body) left the morning skate early, appears he won't play tonight.

Bishop who is listed as day-to-day was injured in Thursday's loss to the Maple Leafs. With the Lightning heading into the Olympic break after tonight's contest it is not surprising to see Bishop sitting out with two weeks of rest ahead of him. Expect him to be back to 100 per cent when everyone returns from Sochi. Look for Cedrick Desjardins to gets the nod tonight.

Ben Bishop
The Islanders have assigned Matt Donovan to Bridgeport (AHL).

His assignment suggests that Travis Hamonic (concussion) will in fact return on Saturday. Donovan has split time between the Islanders and the Sound Tigers this season. He has seven points (1G / 6A) in 36 games with the Isles and 14 points (3G / 11A) in 17 games with Bridgeport.

Matt Donovan
Schneider will start again on Saturday.

Schneider stopped 19 of 20 shots in a 2-1 OT win over the Oilers tonight. He will start the second half of the back-to-back tomorrow in Washington. It will mark his fifth consecutive start as he continues to be one of fantasy's best backstops. He has clearly supplanted Marty Brodeur as number-1 in New Jersey, continue to roll him out there with confidence.

Cory Schneider
Bobrovsky leads the Blue Jackets onto the ice for warmups.

Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 20 shots in a 2-1 OT loss to the Kings last night. He will get the start for the second straight night as he takes on the Sharks tonight. Bob has won nine of 12 starts with a 2.09 GAA and .931 SV% over the last month.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Thomas leads the Panthers onto the ice for warmups; he starts.

Thomas allowed two goals on 32 shots in 3-1 loss to the Red Wings last night. He will draw both starts of the back-to-back as he takes on the Hurricanes tonight. It has been a struggle for Thomas as of late. He has lost four of his last six while posting a 3.32 GAA and .888 SV%.
