Howard (knee) is expected to dress on Tuesday.

Howard has been scratched for the last three games because of a knee injury. Petr Mrazek has been reassigned to Grand Rapids which says that Howie is ready to return to the crease. Jonas Gustavsson struggled on Sunday, so there is a good chance that Howard will start in Philadelphia tomorrow.

Jimmy Howard
The Red Wings have reassigned Petr Mrazek to Grand Rapids (AHL).

Mrazek has been good when called upon this season. The 21-year-old is 1-3-0 with a 1.64 GAA and .924 SV% with the Red Wings this season. His demotion tells us that Jimmy Howard is ready to return on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Petr Mrazek
The Blackhawks have recalled Brandon Pirri from Rockford (AHL).

Pirri is back with the Blackhawks after being sent down in early January. In 16 AHL games, Pirri recorded four goals and nine assists (13 points). He totalled 11 points (6G / 5A) in 24 games with Chicago this season. He could find himself centering the second line with Patrick Kane and Brandon Saad, making him a strong add in 12-plus team leagues.

Brandon Pirri
Price gets the start Tuesday vs. Carolina.

Price was yanked after allowed four goals on 26 shots in a 5-0 loss to the Capitals. It was the second time in three starts that Price has been pulled, but that won't deter the Habs to turning to him tomorrow. He has allowed 21 goals in his last five starts (4, 4, 5, 4, 4), so he makes for a good buy-low candidate right now.

Carey Price
Anderson starts on Tuesday.

Anderson stopped all nine shots that he faced after replacing Robin Lehner in Saturday's loss to the Hurricanes. He enters play on Tuesday with a 4-1-3 record, 2.70 GAA and .913 SV% in January. He allowed four goals in a 4-1 loss the first time he faced the Blue Jackets.

Craig Anderson
Stafford (upper-body) is out tonight.

Stafford left Saturday's game early and did not return. Prior to Saturday, Stafford actually had a three-game point streak going (3G / 2A). Linus Omark will draw back into the Sabres lineup while Stafford is sidelined.

Drew Stafford
Miller was the first goalie off at the Sabres morning skate.

Miller stopped 36 of 38 shots in a 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak and was his 13th of the season. Trade talks involving Miller seem to be ramping-up, but for now he is still a Buffalo Sabre, who take on the Penguins tonight. It is an ugly matchup for Miller, look elsewhere tonight.

Ryan Miller
Maple Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle said that Kessel has been nursing an injury lately, but should be good-to-go on Tuesday.

Kessel left practice this morning, but ended up returning. Monitor his status during Tuesday's morning skate. Kessel has seven goals and nine assists (16 points) in his last nine games. If he is available tomorrow, make sure he is active.

Phil Kessel
Gibbons (lower-body) will return to the Penguins lineup tonight.

Gibbons missed the last five games, but will be back tonight and will start on a line with Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz and also see time on the second power-play unit. He has two goals and four assists in 13 games.

Brian Gibbons
Varlamov starts vs. the Stars.

Varlamov gave up two goals on 11 shots after replacing Sami Aittokallio in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Lightning. Varlamov enters play at 8-1-1 with a 2.52 GAA and .921 SV% in January. He will meet the Stars for the fourth time this season, he is 3-0-0 with a 1.97 GAA and .942 SV% against Dallas.

Semyon Varlamov
Lehtonen was the first goalie off of the ice at the Stars' morning skate; expected to start.

Lehtonen stopped all 24 shots that he faced in a 3-0 win over the Penguins on Saturday. It was a huge win over a great team. Lehtonen will need to be at his best once again with the Avalanche in town tonight. Lehtonen is 0-1-1 with 4.38 GAA and .883 SV% in two prior starts against Colorado.

Kari Lehtonen
Fleury gets the nod in goal for the Penguins.

Fleury gave up three goals on 28 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Stars on Saturday. Fleury has been a workhorse throughout his career, tonight will mark his 43rd start of the season. Fleury is 28-12-1 with a 2.31 GAA and .915 SV% in the first 42 starts and has a good chance to chalk up a league leading 29th win tonight vs. Buffalo.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Sturm has officially announced his retirement.

Sturm played 14 seasons in the NHL. He was originally drafted 21st overall by the San Jose Sharks in 1996. He played seven and a half seasons with the Sharks before moving on to Boston for four and a half seasons. Towards the end of his career he bounced around with the Kings, Capitals, Canucks and Panthers. He totalled 242 goals, 245 assists (487 points) in 938 regular season games. He also had 22 points (9G / 13A) in 68 playoff games.
