The Blues have assigned goaltender Jake Allen to Chicago (AHL).

Allen, 23, has dressed in 23 games for Chicago this season, ranking fourth among all AHL goalies with 14 wins (14-7-2) while his 2.17 GAA ranks third and his .922 SV% is 10th best. His demotion to the AHL means that Jaroslav Halak is back to full health and will suit up on Tuesday, whether as the start or the back-up.

Myers will have a discipline phone hearing tomorrow after delivering an illegal check to the head of Dainius Zubrus on Saturday.

The Sabres have three games this week, so monitor Myers status on Monday before finalizing your lineups in weekly leagues. With a phone hearing he is not expected to be given a lengthy suspension, but as a repeat offender he will likely get at least one game.

Tyler Myers
Gonchar (concussion) is probable for Monday's game vs. the Islanders.

Gonchar has missed the last six games after being concussed on December 21. He reportedly looked great in Stars' practice on Sunday and should be in the lineup tomorrow. In his first season with Dallas he has no goals and 12 assists with a minus-5 rating in 35 games.

Sergei Gonchar
Ramo starts for the Flames on Monday.

Ramo stopped 27 of 29 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Lightning on Friday. It was a good outing for Ramo, but he was out-duelled by Ben Bishop. He will get his third start of the season vs. the Avalanche on Monday. In the first two meetings he is 0-2-0 with a 3.06 GAA and .882 SV%.

Staal (lower-body) is not expected to play tonight vs. the Predators.

Staal played just 9:48 on Saturday before leaving the game and not returning. The Hurricanes recalled Aaron Palushaj from Charlotte today, who would make his Hurricanes debut with Staal out. Losing Staal would be a huge loss for the Hurricanes, he currently leads the team in points with 35 (10G / 25A) in 42 games.

Eric Staal
Salo (upper-body) skated with Victor Hedman this morning, a good sign that he will return to the lineup tonight.

Salo is expected to return tonight after missed the last four games with an upper-body injury that he suffered on December 23 vs. the Panthers. He had been skating for the last few days, so there is a really good chance that he returns tonight vs. the Oilers. He has one goal and six assists in 34 games.

Hutton starts for the Predators.

Hutton will get his first start since December 27, a night he allowed four goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Stars. He has not won since December 14 and has been yanked twice in his last four starts. Tonight he takes on a Hurricanes team who have won three straight.

Carter Hutton
Gudbranson (face) will travel with the Panthers on their upcoming three-game road-trip.

Gudbranson has missed the last five games after undergoing surgery on a broken orbital bone. The Panthers could use Gudbranson on the road-trip because Dylan Olsen and Alex Petrovic will not be available. If he can't go tomorrow, Mike Mottau would enter the lineup for the first time since December 3.

The Hurricanes have recalled forward Aaron Palushaj from Charlotte (AHL).

Palushaj, 24, has played in all 34 of the Checkers’ games thus far this season, and leads the team in assists (19) and points (28). He has played in 66 career NHL regular-season games with Montreal and Colorado, scoring three goals and earning 11 assists (14 points).

Aaron Palushaj
Bishop starts for the Lightning.

Bishop stopped all 19 shots that he faced to record his fourth shutout of the season in Friday's 2-0 win over the Flames. It was his 22nd win of the year and seventh in his last eight starts. The Lightning continue their western Canada road-trip as they take on the Oilers tonight. Bishop stopped 38 of 40 shots in a 4-2 win over Edmonton in November, he is a must-start unless your goalies numbers are wrapped up.

Ben Bishop
Gunnarsson (upper-body) is not on the ice for Maple Leafs practice.

Gunnarsson was injured in the Maple Leafs 7-1 loss to the Rangers on Saturday. He played only 5:06 before departing for the dressing room and not returning. If he is unable to play on Tuesday, Tim Gleason is expected to make his Maple Leafs debut and could take Gunnarson's spot paired with Dion Phaneuf. If not Gleason, Jake Gardiner would move up with Phaneuf.

Carl Gunnarsson
Clarkson (foot) is not on the ice for Maple Leafs practice.

Clarkson only played 4:24 before retiring to the dressing room with a foot injury. It was a terrible night for the Maple Leafs who lost the game 7-1 and lost Clarkson and Carl Gunnarsson in the process. Monitor Clarkson's status prior to Tuesday's game vs. the Islanders.

David Clarkson
Bryzgalov starts vs. the Lightning.

Bryzgalov allowed five goals on 37 shots in Friday's loss to the Ducks. Bryz has allowed 12 goals in three consecutive losses and has not won since December 23. Tonight he will get the call against the Lightning at home, he is 1-1-1 with a 3.29 GAA and .885 SV% in Edmonton.

Ilya Bryzgalov
Montoya starts for the Jets.

Montoya allowed four goals on 29 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Senators on Thursday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak and moved him to 8-3-1 with a 2.02 GAA and .929 SV% on the season. He draws an ugly matchup vs. a Penguins team who are getting Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin back today.

Al Montoya
Bryzgalov was the first goalie off at the Oilers morning skate; he is expected to start.

Bryzgalov allowed five goals on 37 shots in Friday's loss to the Ducks. Bryz has allowed 12 goals in three consecutive losses and has not won since December 23. Tonight it looks like he will get the call against the Lightning at home, he is 1-1-1 with a 3.29 GAA and .885 SV% in Edmonton.

Ilya Bryzgalov
Petrovic (upper-body) will not travel with the Panthers on their upcoming three-game road-trip.

Petrovic was injured in Saturday's game vs. the Predators. Petrovic has played in the last five games since being recalled. He has been held off the score sheet, but had a plus-4 rating. He joins Dylan Olsen and Erik Gudbranson as injured Panthers defensemen. Expect Mike Mottau to slide into the lineup, unless the Panthers decide to recall another defenseman.

Alex Petrovic
Crawford starts for the Blackhawks.

Crawford allowed three goals on 34 shots in his return to the crease vs. the Islanders on Thursday. It was his first start in almost one month and while it wasn't the best outing, he is only going to get better as he shakes off the rust. He will need to be at his best when he takes on a Sharks team who have won five of their last seven.
