Miller allowed three goals on 42 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Maple Leafs on Thursday. Even when John Scott scores, the Sabres still can't find a way to win… Today Miller will face the Capitals for the first time this season. So far in 17 starts in Buffalo, Miller is 7-10-0 with a 2.58 GAA and .922 SV%.
McElhinney stopped 16 of 17 shots on a quiet night win over the Devils on Thursday. McElhinney has won four of his last five outings and has performed at a solid level since replacing Sergei Bobrovsky as the Blue Jackets starter. Tonight he will make his third start against the Penguins, in the first two he is 0-2-0 with a 1.96 GAA and .929 SV%.
Grubauer stopped 38 of 40 shots in a 3-2 win over the Rangers on Thursday. Grubauer appears to have taken the starting role for the time-being in Washington. Since being recalled from Hershey he is 5-1-1 with a 2.18 GAA and .937 SV%. Today he will take on a 10-24-4 Sabres team and makes for a strong start.
Niemi stopped 34 of 37 shots in Friday's shootout win over the Coyotes Despite allowing seven goals in his last two starts, Niemi has won both of them and now sits at 20 for the season. He will take on a Ducks team who he beat 4-3 in a shootout in November.
Poulin gave up six goals on 37 shots in a loss to the Coyotes on December 12. Poulin has been pushed back into the back-up role with the return of Evgeni Nabokov and he holds little-to-no fantasy value. Tonight he will start in Minnesota, he is 1-8-0 on the road so I would look elsewhere for a spot-start.
Ward allowed three goals on 28 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Capitals on December 20. Was was given the next three games off in favour of Justin Peters, but will step back into the crease tonight in Toronto. He has clearly fallen behind Peters, but a strong start tonight should push him back towards the starting role after Peters went 0-2-1 while allowing 11 goals in his last three starts.
Not good news for Parise owners. Look for a timetable before you try to sell on Parise, however.
Harding will return to the cage tonight after missing the last four games while receiving treatment for multiple sclerosis. Before leaving the team he had won five of his last six starts with a 1.46 GAA and .946 SV%. Tonight he takes on an Islanders team on the tail-end of a back-to-back in a building where he is 14-1-0 this season.
Szwarz is not expected to have any fantasy significance for the Coyotes.
Brule is not expected to have any fantasy significance for the Coyotes.
Zatkoff stopped 24 of 26 shots in a win over the Wild on December 19. The win was his sixth of the season as he moved to 6-2-0 with a 2.46 GAA and .912 SV%. Tonight he will face the Blue Jackets, a team he posted his first career shutout against on November 2nd.
Bernier allowed three goals on 35 shots in a come from behind shootout win over the Sabres on Friday. The win was just his third in December as he moved to 3-4-2 with a 2.44 GAA and .928 SV% this month. Tonight he will take on a Hurricanes team who pushed three past him in a 3-2 loss in October.
Lindback allowed two goals on 30 shots in a win over the Predators on Decemeber 19. The win was just his third in nine tries this season. He will look to push that to four tonight vs. struggling Henrik Lundqvist and a Rangers team who are 3-5-1 in their last 10.
Columbus kicks off a four-game road trip starting on Tuesday in Colorado that goes until the following Monday in New York. Horton could make his Blue Jackets debut in one of those four games, so monitor his status during the morning skates of Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and the next Monday.

MacKenzie has shuffled in and out of the lineup due to injuries this season. If he can't play tonight vs. the Penguins, Ryan Craig will enter the lineup.
Craig has skated in three games with Columbus this season and has recorded six goals and six assists in 22 games with Springfield. He could be in the lineup tonight vs. his former team if Derek MacKenzie can't play.
Elliott allowed two goals on 19 shots in a relief effort of Jaroslav Halak in last night's come from behind shootout win over the Blackhawks. Tonight he faces a Dallas squad that he stopped 34 of 35 shots in a 6-1 win against in late November. Elliott has put in a lot of good efforts in limited action this season, don't hesitate to start him tonight.
