Parise has missed the last two games with what is thought to be a foot injury. Parise's placement on IR is retroactive to December 22 so he would be eligible to play in Tuesday's contest, but it sounds like he will be out longer than that. Parise showed that he can return earlier than expected before, so don't count on him missing games until he is officially ruled out.
Raanta stopped 16 of 18 shots in a blowout win over the Avalanche on Friday. He will get the start in both games of the back-to-back as the Hawks find themselves in St. Louis tonight. Raanta has been extremely solid on the road posting a 4-1-0 record with a 2.57 GAA and .909 SV%.
Mazanec allowed four goals on 29 shots after replacing Carter Hutton early in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Bruins. The Predators inexperienced goalie tandem has struggled as of late and things will not get any easier as Mazanec gets set to face a Kings team who are 9-1-1 in their last 11.
Varlamov stopped all 13 shots that he faced after replacing J.S Giguere in Friday's loss to the Blackhawks. On Sunday he draws a good matchup at home taking on the visiting Jets. Varly has posted a 10-5-1 record with a 2.24 GAA and .928 SV% at home.
Malkin will miss his seventh consecutive game after suffering a leg injury against the Red Wings on December 14. Despite missing one of the NHL's best players the Penguins continue to win with a patchwork AHL lineup plus Sidney Crosby, so they will take things slow with Malkin.
Scuderi has been out since October 26 with a fractured ankle. His would be return would be big for a Penguins team who has been decimated by injuries in the last month. Monitor his status during Sunday's morning skate.
Price allowed three goals on 34 shots in a win over the Predators last Saturday. The Habs have not played in a week so they should be well rested when they take on the Lightning in Tampa Bay tonight. Price is 0-0-1 vs. Tampa and is 5-5-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .923 SV% on the road.
Dennis Seidenberg was just ruled out for the remainder of the season, so Trotman and David Warsofsky were recalled and are both eligible to play tonight, however only one of them is expected to dress. Trotman was a 7th round pick in 2010 and is in his third season with Providence where he has one goal and six assists in 22 games.
This is a huge loss for the Bruins, Seidenberg is likely their second best defenseman behind only Zdeno Chara. David Warsofsky was recalled this morning on an emergency basis and Zach Trotman was also recalled, both are eligible to play tonight. Seidenberg's recovery time is 6-8 months.
Berra stopped 26 of 27 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Oilers on Thursday. Despite the loss it was another strong performance in what has been an ultimately good month for Berra. So far he is 2-3-0 with a 1.79 GAA and .939 SV% in December and will take on Vancouver at home on Sunday, he is 2-5-2 in Calgary this season.
Greiss will make his first start since December 10, when he stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 3-1 win over the Avalanche. Greiss has been one of the NHL's best spot-start options this season going 4-2-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .926 SV% in five starts. That being said, tonight's matchup with the Ducks is not an ideal spot-start setup.
Downie missed the last two games after suffering an upper-body injury last week. Downie has two goals and 10 assists in 20 games since being traded to the Flyers. He will likely slot in on the fourth line with Adam Hall and Zac Rinaldo.
Montoya stopped 22 of 23 shots after replacing Ondrej Pavelec in Thursday's win over the Wild. Pavelec has had his struggles this season while Montoya has played his way to a 6-1-2, 2.14 GAA and .923 SV% in eight starts and 11 appearances. On Sunday he will face an Avalanche team who pushed three passed him in a 3-2 loss on October 27.
Lundqvist will be back in goal on Sunday after sitting out the last three games. In his last start he allowed four goals on 19 shots in a 5-3 loss to the Islanders on December 20. Sunday he will face the Bolts for the first time since November 25 when he was yanked after allowing four goals on 22 shots in the two periods.
Mason stopped 26 of 27 shots in a win over the Wild on Monday. It was his third straight win and 14th o the season. Tonight he will go head-to-head with former Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov as the Flyers travel to Edmonton. Mason won his first start vs. the Oilers and is 4-3-4 with a 2.57 GAA and .920 SV% on the road.
Potter was injured in Friday's game against the Flames and will be replaced by Martin Marincin in tonight's lineup.
Salvador was taken off injured reserve and activated while forward Tim Sestito was assigned to Albany (AHL). Salvador has missed 30 games since being hit in the foot by a Jack Johnson shot October 22 in Columbus. The Devils are expected to dress seven defenseman tonight after the emergence of rookies Eric Gelinas and Jon Merrill as capable NHL defensemen.
Halak allowed three goals on 29 shots in a shootout loss to the Flames on Monday. Tonight he will get his third crack at the Blackhawks after going 2-0-0 with a 1.92 GAA and .930 SV% in the first two meetings. He is also a fantastic 10-3-2 with a 2.31 GAA and .907 SV% at home.
Sobotka missed the last five games with an upper-body injury that he suffered on December 14 vs. Columbus. This is positive news for the Blues, but they found out today that leading scorer Alex Steen is out indefinitely. Sobotka will skate with Patrik Berglund and Vladimir Tarasenko.
Schneider allowed five goals on 37 shots in a loss to the Blackhawks on Monday. Schneider has lost five straight while allowing at least three goals in each contest and 17 overall. Tonight he will face the Isles in New York, he is 2-6-2 with a 2.59 GAA and .904 SV% on the road.
