Martin Jones leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups; he starts vs. the Oilers

Jones stopped 37 of 39 shots in a win over the Senators on Saturday afternoon. It was an easy outing for Jones who was given a 2-0 cushion in less than five minutes and was up 3-0 after one period. He will to go tonight with the Oilers coming to town. He will look to start his NHL career 6-0-0 after winning the first five with a 0.99 GAA and .967 SV%.

Ellis leads the Stars onto the ice for warmups; he starts vs. the Avalanche.

Ellis stopped 12 of 14 shots after replacing Kari Lehtonen on December 10 vs. Chicago. He draws a tough matchup tonight with the Avalanche in town. Ellis stopped 23 of 26 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Avs on October 15.

Dan Ellis
Reimer leads the Maple Leafs onto the ice for warmups and starts for the Maple Leafs.

Reimer allowed three goals on 15 shots before being pulled in his last start on December 12. He has won just one of his last five starts while allowing a whopping 18 goals and being pulled twice. He will start against the Panthers in Toronto, he is 4-2-0 with 2.79 GAA and .926 SV% at home.

James Reimer
Clarkson has served his two game suspension and will return to the Maple Leafs lineup tonight.

Clarkson has struggled this season and has only one assist in his last 10 games and just two goals and four assist in 23 games in hie first season with the Maple Leafs. He will likely skate on the second line tonight.

David Clarkson
Backes (upper-body) will not play tonight. Listed as day-to-day.

David Backes has played in 274 straight regular season games (289 including playoffs) and has not missed a game since January 25, 2010. Backes has been great this season posting 16 goals and 14 assists (30 points) in 32 games. If Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Sobotka are unable to go tonight, the Blues will likely have to go with seven defensemen.

Brodeur gets the nod vs. the Senators on Wednesday.

Brodeur stopped all 33 shots in a 3-0 shutout win over the Lightning on Saturday. After a rough outing against the Blue Jackets four days earlier, Brodeur bounced back in tremendous fashion. He will take on the Senators for the second time this season on Tuesday. In the first start he allowed four goals on 22 shots in 5-2 loss.

Martin Brodeur
Columbus Blue Jackets right wing Jared Boll will be sidelined three to four months following surgery to repair a torn tendon in his ankle.

Boll, 27, has appeared in 21 games this season, scoring one goal and adding 38 penalty minutes. He was placed on Injured Reserve on November 26 retroactive to November 22 when he logged 9:07 of ice time at Vancouver. “Our initial hope was that Jared would be able to return to the lineup with rest and rehabilitation, but it became apparent over the past few days that surgery was the best course of action,” said General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen.

Jared Boll
Smith starts tonight for Phoenix.

Smith allowed two goals on 32 shots in Saturday's loss to the Hurricanes. Despite his recent struggles Smith said he is feeling the most confident he has all season heading into tonight's game in Montreal. He is going to need that confidence against a hot Habs team and his less than stellar road record. Smith has been a beast in Phoenix but on the road he is 5-4-3 with a 3.18 GAA and .913 SV%.

Mike Smith
Bryzgalov starts vs. Los Angeles.

Bryzgalov turned aside 31 of 34 shots he faced in a loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. It was a nice outing in his first start after missing six games because of a concussion. He gets the call once against with the Oilers in Los Angeles. The Kings are 6-1-0 in their last seven, with their only loss coming against the reigning Stanley Cup Champions.

Ilya Bryzgalov
Bourque (upper-body) will return to the Habs lineup tonight vs. Phoenix.

Bourque has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury, but will be eased back into the lineup tonight. Bourque will start the game on the Canadiens fourth line with Travis Moen and Brandon Prust. He has six goals and one assist in 23 games.

Rene Bourque
Quick (groin) worked out on ice today and faced some shots at the end of Kings' practice.

Quick is still expected to miss at least another week, but putting the gear back on and taking shots is a definite positive for Quick. The Kings are in a great spot, where they will not need to rush him back because of the way Martin Jones and Ben Scrivens are playing right now. Monitor Quick's status as Christmas draws near.
