Fasth is 'likely' to get the start says head coach Bruce Boudreau.

Fasth has not started an NHL game since October 16th - he had 33 saves in a win over the Flames that evening. He is 2-1-0 with a 3.33 GAA and .877 SV% in three starts this season. Fasth has a solid matchup to make his return to the crease when the Ducks take on the Hurricanes.

The Florida Panthers traded Kris Versteeg and Philippe Lefebvre to Chicago for Jimmy Hayes and defenceman Dylan Olsen on Thursday night.

Olsen was the Blackhawks' first round pick (28th) in 2009. He is a six-foot-three, 210 lbs. stay-at-home D-man. Olsen played 28 games with Chicago in 2011-12, posting just one assist. He has since been with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) - Eight assists in 16 games this season.

Dylan Olsen
The Florida Panthers traded Kris Versteeg and Philippe Lefebvre to Chicago for Jimmy Hayes and defenceman Dylan Olsen on Thursday night.

Hayes was originally drafted 60th overall (2008) by Toronto but has been in the Blackhawks' system since 2010-11. He has played 43 games over three seasons with Chicago, registering six goals and 13 points. In 13 games with Rockford (AHL) this season he has four goals and eight points.

Jimmy Hayes
The Florida Panthers traded Kris Versteeg and Philippe Lefebvre to Chicago for Jimmy Hayes and defenceman Dylan Olsen on Thursday night.

Lefebvre is a 22-year-old left-wing who has spent the last three seasons bouncing between the AHL and ECHL. This season he has two goals and five assists in nine games with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

The Florida Panthers traded Kris Versteeg and Philippe Lefebvre to Chicago for Jimmy Hayes and defenceman Dylan Olsen on Thursday night.

Versteeg played for Chicago for three seasons from 2007-10. He scored 44 goals and 101 points in 170 games with the Blackhawks. Versteeg missed much of the lockout shortened season, he was held to four points (2G / 2A) in 10 games. This season he has two goals and seven points in 18 games. Versteeg has been a 20-goal scorer three times, so he adds extra firepower to an already strong Blackhawks lineup.

The Ducks have reassigned Sami Vatanen to Norfolk (AHL).

Vatanen had one goal and four assists in 17 games with the Ducks. He designation to Norfolk opens up a roster spot for Peter Holland to come up with the Ducks dealing with some health issues up front.

Fasth (lower-body) has been activated off of IR and recalled from Norfolk (AHL) after a conditioning stint.

Fasth allowed three goals on 30 shots in 35 minutes of playing time in Norfolk's 3-1 loss to Manchester on Wednesday. Fasth has been on the shelf since October 17 but could get the start tomorrow vs. Carolina. With Fasth being recalled the Ducks have re-assigned Frederik Andersen to the AHL.

Kadri has been suspended for three games for his hit on Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom on Wednesday.

This is a tough break for the Maple Leafs who lose yet another centre. They are already without Tyler Bozak (hamstring) and Dave Bolland (ankle). He is not eligible to play until next Thursday vs. Nashville.

Nazem Kadri
Luongo will start in goal for the Canucks.

Luongo was given Sunday off after allowing four goals on 18 shots in a loss to the Kings on Saturday. He gets the nod at home tonight against the Sharks who have cooled off after a blistering start. Bobby Lu is 1-2-0 with a 3.02 GAA and .897 in three starts vs. San Jose this season.

Roberto Luongo
Burns (face) will not play tonight and was back in a non-contact jersey today.

It sounds like Burns has had a setback in his recovery. He had shed the non-contact jersey, but putting it back on today is not a good sign. "There’s days where I think he’s really close, and there’s other days when you want to do some work with him and he doesn’t seem able to do it,” head coach Todd McLellan said.

Brent Burns
Lehtonen goes in both games of a back-to-back.

Lehtonen stopped all 22 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season on Wednesday. He will get the start for the second straight night when the Stars take on the Flames. It is another great matchup for the Finnish netminder, you know what to do.

Kari Lehtonen
Niemi starts for the Sharks.

Niemi was given the night off on Tuesday after losing five straight starts. In those five starts he posted a 3.83 GAA and .878 SV% - and the Sharks still forced OT in four of those contests. Niemi will look to get back on track tonight, but it won't be easy against the Canucks. He is 2-1-0 (2.48 GAA / .902 SV%) against Vancouver this season.
