The injury appears to be in his foot as his skate boot won't fit. Prior to the injury, Read had 4 goals in his previous 3 games.

Excellent news for the Lightning and Bishop owners as it looks like he'll be able to make his next start. Bishop has a sparkling 14-3-1 record and is finally providing the Lightning with reliable goaltending.

Seguin was given the day off, in other words it was a maintenance day and he is expected to dress on Friday. Monitor his status on Thursday just to be sure.

Aulie was injured in the same game as Steven Stamkos, but will return tonight after seven game absence. Aulie is expected to dress as the team's seventh defenseman. He has yet to record a point in three games.

Gionta will miss his second straight game after suffering an ankle injury on Saturday. He is eligible to return on Saturday vs. Buffalo, but there is no indication if he will be ready or not. He has two assists in 21 games, so he is not fantasy relevant.

Klesla, 31, is in his 12th season in the NHL and will head to the AHL after clearing waivers today. He hasten goal and two assists in 15 games this season. He has played 649 NHL games, but will reportedly report to Portland without any issue. He is expected to be recalled at some point this season.

Smith-Pelly registered one goal and seven assists in 16 games while he was with the Ducks. He had been a healthy scratch for two of the last three games, so he's assignment is not as surprising as Emerson Etem's.

Etem played in 24 of 27 games with the Ducks this season tallying six goals and four assists with a plus-2 rating. The Ducks did not give a reason as to why Etem is being sent down, but he will report to Norfolk along with Devante Smith-Pelly.

A healthy scratch for the last six games, Sharks defenseman Matt Irwin will return to the lineup against the Kings on Wednesday. “It’s just time to get him playing again. He shoots the puck a lot, he gives the power play a bit of a pop, and he’ll get that opportunity,” head coach Todd McLellan said. Irwin will be paired with Dan Boyle, while Justin Braun and Marc-Edouard Vlasic will reunite. The third pair will be Brad Stuart and Scott Hannan.
