Yakupov was not at Oilers practice this morning because of a "banged up ankle or foot" according to head coach Dallas Eakins.

"It was tender enough that he couldn't practice. We'll re-evaluate tomorrow," Eakins said after practice. Yakupov has had his struggles this season, but has registered three goals and three assists in his last seven games. He did however have a bad giveaway on the power-play last night that led to a Jonathan Toews shorthanded goal that opened the scoring. It is the plays like that that have Yak in coach Eakins doghouse. The Oilers are off until Thursday, so Yakupov has time to recover before a decision has to be made.

Nail Yakupov
Doan (lower-body) did not practice today after leaving Monday's game.

It would be devastating for the Coyotes if Doan can't paly on Wednesday because he has been on a tear as of late. Doan has nine goals and six assists (15 points) in his last 13 games. His absence from practice this morning is worrisome, but monitor his status and expect an update following Wednesday's game-day skate.

Shane Doan
Giordano skated today for the first time since breaking his ankle.

Giordano is likely still a couple of weeks away from returning, but he said that his ankle felt better as the skate went on. His original timetable was 6-8 weeks, and it has been exactly one month since he suffered the injury. Giordano is the heart-and-soul of the Flames' blueline, so the return of their captain is much anticipated.

Mark Giordano
Bryzgalov starts Thursday vs. Nashville.

Bryzgalov replaced a struggling Devan Dubnyk in Monday's loss to the Blackhawks. He played well allowed just one goal on 13 shots in his Oilers debut. His first start as an Oiler will come on Wednesday vs. the Predators. If Bryz can find his old game, he could climb to the top of the Oilers goalie depth chart and become a solid number-2 fantasy starter behind a high-octane offence, but suspect defence.

Ilya Bryzgalov
Berra gets the nod on Wednesday vs. Chicago.

Berra allowed three goals on 26 shots in a win over the Panthers on Friday. Despite getting the W it was the seventh time in nine games that he has allowed at least three goals. His GAA is at a staggering 3.34 and should not be trusted against the Blackhawks on Wednesday.

Reto Berra
Lundqvist starts on Wednesday.

Lundqvist allowed four goals on 22 shots in two periods on Monday, he was replaced with Cam Talbot in the third. After a great game against the Stars, Lundqvist followed it up with a stinker. Tomorrow he gets the start in Florida, he is 3-5-0 with a 3.48 GAA and .895 SV% on the road this season.

Henrik Lundqvist
The Panthers placed Kopeck (wrist) on IR on Monday.

Kopecky was injured in the first period of last Thursday's game vs. the Oilers. Kopecky was not expected to miss more than a couple of days, but his placement on IR means he will miss at least a week. He is eligible to return on Saturday, but monitor his status prior to puck-drop. Kopecky has two goals and two assists in 23 games.

Tomas Kopecky
Allen (lower-body) is out tonight.

Allen left Saturday's game and did not return. His injury is not serious and should be considered day-to-day. The Ducks are hopeful that he will be available for Friday's game vs. Calgary.

Bryan Allen
McQuaid (lower-body) will travel with the Bruins to Detroit.

McQuaid has missed the last eight games after suffering a lower body injury on November 9 vs. Toronto. He continues to skate with the Bruins as he works his way back. He will travel to Detroit and could be in the lineup on Wednesday. McQuaid is a rugged defenseman who brings a lot of physicality to the Bruins blueline, but does not produce enough offensively to be fantasy relevant.

Adam McQuaid
Shattenkirk (flu) rode the bike, didn't skate but looks good to go Wednesday.

Shattenkirk missed Monday's win over the WIld because of the flu but should be in the lineup tomorrow vs. Colorado. He has been great this season recording one goal and 15 assists with a plus-7 rating in 22 games. In his first game vs. his former team this season he had one assist with one shot on goal in 18:50 TOI.

Kevin Shattenkirk
Halak starts on Wednesday.

Halak posted a 22-save shutout on Monday vs. Minnesota. It was his second shutout of the season and his third straight win. He gets the call on Wednesday vs. a strong Avalanche team. He allowed three goals on 24 shots in 7-3 beat-down of the Avalanche two weeks ago.

Jaroslav Halak
Hornqvist (lower-body) will not play tomorrow.

Hornqvist missed Monday's game after being injured on Saturday vs. New York. Hornqvist is an important part of the Preds offence and power-play with his net-front presence. His injury is not believed to be too serious, but he will not travel with the team to Columbus.

Patric Hornqvist
Martin (lower-body) will not play tomorrow.

The Penguins did not say what the nature or severity of Martin's injury is, but a further update will come in a few days. For now consider him day-to-day. Robert Bortuzzo will likely enter the lineup and if the injury is serious, Simon Despres could be recalled.

Paul Martin
Anderson is expected to get the nod in goal tomorrow.

Anderson allowed four goals on 25 shots in a loss to the WIld last Wednesday. Robin Lehner was given the next two starts, but Anderson should be back tomorrow. After leading the league in GAA and SV% last season, he has had a rough start to the season, posting a 3.31 GAA and .900 SV% in his first 15 appearances.
