Reimer stats vs. Washington.

Reimer allowed two goals on 35 shots in a 4-2 win over the Bruins on November 16. He gets the nod tonight at home against the Capitals. Reimer is 3-0-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .939 SV% at the ACC this season. He also won his only start against the Capitals last season.

James Reimer
Mazanec is expected to get the start for the Predators.

Mazanec stopped 24 of 26 shots to earn his third consecutive win on Thursday vs. Toronto. After dropping his first two starts, Mazanec has posted a 1.33 GAA, .957 SV% and one shutout in three consecutive wins. Tonight he will likely get a chance to extend his winning streak as the Predators take on the Rangers.

Marek Mazanec
Green played 20:37 but did not register a point and was a minus-1 with two shots in his first game back from a lower-body injury on Friday.

Green missed three games, but played 20-plus minutes is a good sign that he is healthy. The Capitals are in Toronto tonight, Green is safe to deploy.

Mike Green
The Ducks announced that Fasth did in fact suffer a lower-body injury in warmups, thus Jonas Hiller gets the start.

There is no word on who will start tomorrow against the Coyotes, but should Fasth miss an extended period time again, expect Frederik Andersen to be recalled from Norfolk. Expect an update on Saturday.

Viktor Fasth
Jonas Hiller is in the Ducks net. Talk about your late change. Viktor Fasth was even announced to crowd.

Last second change to the Ducks starter. No official reason given to why head coach Bruce Boudreau decided to go with Hiller last minute, but you have to think that Fasth tweaked something in the pre-game warmups.

Jonas Hiller
Thomas starts for the Panthers.

Thomas gave up three goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Oilers last night. He gets the nod in both games of the back-to-back when the Panthers take on the Flames tonight. The Flames actually rank 15th in the NHL in scoring, but Thomas could make for an OK start.

The Ducks have recalled Sami Vatanen from Norfolk (AHL).

Vatanen posted one goal and four assists in 17 games with the Ducks earlier in the season. During his stop in Norfolk he has one goal and two assists in two games. He has an incredibly bright future ahead of him, but until he lands a permanent spot on the Ducks blueline he is not a legit fantasy consideration.

Sami Vatanen
The Lightning have reassigned Brett Connolly to Syracuse (AHL).

Connolly recorded just one goal and a minus-5 rating in 11 games. "[Connolly is] struggling to find his game. He's not getting things accomplished, GM Steve Yzerman said. "We just feel it's better for him to go back." Tampa Bay is expected to recall another winger in the near future.

The Jets have reassigned Zach Redmond to St. John's (AHL).

Redmond, 25, has played in three games with the Jets since his recall on November 3. He will return to the IceCaps where he has played in two games so far this season for two points (1G / 1A) and two penalty minutes. Redmond has played in 115 career AHL games between Chicago and St. John’s for 52 career points (17G / 35A) and 73 career penalty minutes.

Zach Redmond
The Jets have placed Zach Bogosian (lower-body) on injured reserve.

Bogosian missed his third straight contest on Thursday after being injured on November 15. His placement on IR is retroactive to the 15th, which means he is eligible to return whenever he is healthy. No timetable has been established, but he is considered to be closer to week-to-week than day-to-day.

Zach Bogosian
The Jets have activated Mark Stuart (hip) from injured reserve.

Stuart skated again on Friday and was deemed fit to play on Saturday. Stuart missed the last 10 games with a hop injury. This is good timing for Winnipeg, as Zach Bogosian was placed on IR today with a lower-body ailment. Stuart is a rugged, physical defenseman, but is not much of a fantasy contributor. He has two assists in 12 games.

Mark Stuart
Backstrom (concussion) skated on Friday for the first time since suffering the injury on November 13.

Backstrom suffered the concussion when he was run over by Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri, the hit resulted in Kadri being suspended for three games. Backstrom has fallen behind Harding as the WIld's starter and will remain the back-up upon his return. No timetable has been established for Backstrom's return.

Niklas Backstrom
Talbot starts on Saturday.

Talbot stopped all 22 shots he faced in a shutout win over the Canadiens on November 16. Talbot has now won four consecutive and will look to extend his winning streak to five tomorrow vs. Nashville. His strong 1.58 GAA and .943 SV% against a weak offence warrants some spot-start consideration.
