Fasth is the first goalie off - He's your Ducks starter.
Fasth allowed two goals on 17 shots in a 3-2 win over the Jets on October 6th. Tonight he has a solid matchup against a young Flames team.
Dustin Penner will be back in for the Ducks tonight and up on the top line with Getzlaf and Perry.
Penner missed the last game with an upper-body injury. He scored a goal and added an assist in just 8:26 before getting injured in October 10th.
Evander Kane left practice favoring his right leg.
Coach Noel will address this following practice.
Hurricanes head coach Kirk Muller says Lindholm is unlikely to play against the Maple Leafs but could return vs. the Islanders on Saturday.
Lindholm has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury. The fifth overall pick in this years draft has one goal and a minus-1 rating while averaging 8:51 TOI.
Goalie Start
Henrik Lundqvist is expected to get the start.
Lundvist allowed one goal on 17 shots after relieving Martin Biron in a 5-3 loss to the Blues. 'King Henrik' is off to the worst start of his elustrious career (1-3-0 / 4.21 GAA / .887 SV%) mostly due to a severe lack of defense by the Rangers. He will face a Capitals team who have lost three out of their last four.
Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault confims that Michael Del Zotto (flu) is out tonight.
Justin Falk will fill in for Del Zotto on the Rangers third pairing, while John Moore takes his spot on the top power play.
Line Change
The Sharks will get Stuart back from his three game suspension tomorrow. He will play in Boyle's place with Irwin vs. Dallas.
Stuart played 17:04 and registered a plus-1 rating in his only game with San Jose this season. Seeing top-pair minutes on a dominant Sharks team should help his fantasy value until Boyle returns.
The Red Wings have sent forward Darren Helm to the Grand Rapids Griffins on a conditioning assignment, expected to consist of two games this coming weekend.
Helm, 26, has not played since Jan. 25, the only game he appeared in during last season's 48-game schedule. He hurt his back doing squats days before training camp, and while he advanced enough to join practices numerous times, he never healed enough to play. A sore knee cost him the last 10 games of the regular season in 2011-12, and then he suffered a cut to his right forearm one game into the 2012 playoffs, missing the rest of that short series. He has been sidelined this fall by a pulled groin. In short, Helm basically hasn't played in the NHL in 18 months.
Penguins defenseman Kris Letang is participating in his first full team practice since suffering a knee injury in late September.
Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma said that Letang wouldn't be able to return until he participated in a full team practice, so he is nearing a return. Monitor his status during tomorrow's morning skate prior to their game with the Flyers.
Dan Boyle who left last night's game on a stretcher is still in St. Louis and will be returning to San Jose as soon as possible.
"I'm OK. That was scary," said Boyle. "Hopefully the symptoms will be very minor if any going forward." Boyle is expected to miss a period of time, how long that will be should be determined once he returns to San Jose.
D'Agostini is practicing with the Penguins for the first time suffering lower-body injury.
No word has been given as to when D'Agostini will make his Penguins debut. He will likely serve as a bottom six/depth forward. He isn't expected to have much of a fantasy impact unless he works his way into the top-6. He had three goals and three assists (six points) in 29 games with the St. Louis Blues and New Jersey Devils last season.
Goalie Start
Holtby is the first goalie off the ice; He is your Capitals starter.
Holtby allowed two goals on 30 shots in a 4-2 win over the Oilers on Monday. He has had a rocky start to the 2013-14 season but this was a step in the right direction. He will look to improve his 3.56 GAA and .886 SV% tonight vs. a Rangers team who has been outscored 20-5 in their last three outings.
Del Zotto (flu) is not on the ice for the Rangers gameday skate. He is doubtful for tonight's matchup with the Capitals.
Del Zotto is off to the worst start of his career, he has zero points and a minus-6 rating through five games.
Martin St. Louis (lower-body) is day-to-day.
St. Louis took a Drew Doughty shot to the foot last night and is not on the ice at Lightning practice this morning. Monitor his status during tomorrow's gameday skate before they take on the Wild.
James van Riemsdyk skated with the main group as an extra today. He's still a possibility to play tomorrow night.
van Riemsdyk missed last night's contest with an upper-body injury and was wearing a non-contact jersey this morning. Monitor his status during Thursday's morning skate.
Capitals defenseman John Erskine (upper-body) mixing in, but it doesn't look like he'll play tonight.
Erskine has missed the last two games, but practiced Monday and today. However the Capitals will want to make sure he is 100% before re-inserting him back into their lineup.
Call up / Send down
The Red Wings have reassigned goaltender Petr Mrazek to Grand Rapids, so Jimmy Howard is at least able to backup Gustavsson tomorrow in Colorado, if not start.
Mrazek is 1-0-0 with a 2.77 GAA and .875 SV% with the Griffins.
Suspension
In-person hearing for Max Lapierre's hit on Dan Boyle which means it'll be 6 games minimum. The hearing is expected to happen on Friday.
Boyle was carted off on a stretcher so there is no surprise that Lapierre will see a hefty suspension.
Pacioretty (lower-body) left tonight's game and will not return.
After just getting over an upper-body injury, it appears Pacioretty could be sidelined with a knee injury. Expect a full update tomorrow.
