Crawford will start for the Blackhawks tonight.

Crawford allowed four goals on 32 shots in a 6-4 win over the Capitals in the season opener. It was a tough start for Crawford. The game was wide-open offensively with the talented Caps in town, so it should not be too discouraging. He will face Steven Stamkos and the Lightning tonight.

Corey Crawford
Michael Bournival in; Max Pacioretty out.

The 21-year-old Bournival will make his NHL debut tonight following the news of Pacioretty's absence. He had 10 goals and 20 assists (30 points) in 69 games for the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL) last season.

Michael Bournival
Max Pacioretty will not play due to left hand/wrist injury.

Pacioretty participated in the optional skate this morning, but has been ruled out. He stated yesterday that he was hopeful he would be in the lineup tonight, but unfortunately for his owners. he is not. Michael Bournival will jump into the lineup with Pacioretty out.

Max Pacioretty
Nik Kulemin has a chip in his ankle that will keep him out for at least two weeks. He injured his ankle taking a shot off the ankle in practice.

The injuries continue to mount for the Maple Leafs. The means Spencer Abbott will draw into the lineup and is expected to play with Nazem Kadri and Joffrey Lupul.

Nikolay Kulemin
No surprise here, but Marc-Andre Fleury will start for the Penguins.

The 2013-14 regular season could not have started any better for Fleury. He stopped all 27 shots he faced, recording shutout number one on the season. He will face a Sabres team tonight that has only scored one goal in their first two games.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Morgan Rielly confirms he will make his NHL debut tonight.

Earlier in the week Rielly was working with Jake Gardniner, but he will start tonight's game with Cody Franson as his partner. He has all the tools of an emerging offensive-defenseman. He is a great skater who moves the puck effectively. His play in his own zone still needs some work but for all fantasy purposes he is good. He had 12 goals and 42 assists (54 points) in 60 games with the Moose Jaw Warriors (WHL) last season.

Morgan Rielly
Halak vs Thomas in goal tonight.

Thomas looked good in his first NHL action in almost a year and a half. He stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced in a 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars. Tonight he will take on Jaroslav Halak and the Blues, who looked really good in their first contest (4-2 win vs NSH). With 11 games on the NHL schedule tonight, you probably have a better option.

Emery will start for the Flyers.

Steve Mason did not have a great season opener, so the door is open for Ray Emery to cement himself as the Flyers starter. He was unbelievable with the Blackhawks last season (17-1-0 / 1.94 GAA / .922 SV%). He will try to get off to a good start in his second stint with the Flyers as they take on the Habs tonight.

Ray Emery
Nabokov will start for the Islanders.

Nabokov started the season off with a win over the New Jersey Devils last night. He stopped 26 of 29 shots (.897 SV%) in a 4-3 shootout win. He will be back in the cage tonight at home versus an 0-1-0 Columbus team.

Evgeni Nabokov
Rangers say they have assigned JT Miller to the AHL. With Ryan Callahan returning to the lineup on Monday, Miller would have been bumped out. He will return to the Hartford Wolf Pack where he will see a lot more playing time.

Miller registered one shot and an even plus/minus rating in 11:58 of playing time in the Rangers season opener.

J.T. Miller
Nikolai Kulemin who was at practice yesterday, is not at the game-day skate this morning.

There has been no word whether Kulemin's absense is injury or personal related. For now he is being replaced by Spencer Abbott. Expect an update following the morning skate.

Nikolay Kulemin
With an impressive track record vs. Ottawa, James Reimer gets the start in the home opener tonight.

Reimer looked good in his first start of the season allowing three goals on 37 shots. He is locked into a battle with Jonathan Bernier, who also played very well in his first start. Reimer dominated the Senators last season going 3-0-0 with 1.67 GAA, .960 SV% and one shutout.

James Reimer
Dubnyk will start tonight for the Oilers.

Dubnyk struggled in the season opener allowing five goals on 28 shots in the 5-4 loss vs. Winnipeg. “I am not worried about Dubnyk," head coach Dallas Eakins said. He was excellent against the Canucks last season going 3-0-1 with a 1.68 GAA, .943 SV% and one shutout.

Devan Dubnyk
Nabokov not present at optional morning skate, indication that he will likely start for the Islanders tonight.

Nabokov started the season off with a win over the New Jersey Devils last night. He stopped 26 of 29 shots (.897 SV%) in a 4-3 shootout win. He is expected to be back in the cage tonight at home versus Columbus.

Evgeni Nabokov
Predators defenseman Roman Josi left tonight's game with an upper body injury and did not return. Josi was the victim of a controversial hit from Avalanche forward Steve Downie. Downie received a two minute charging penalty on the play.

Josi scored five goals with 15 assists (18 points) in 48 games for Nashville last season. He just signed a seven year contract extension with the Preds this offseason. He is a key part of their blueline, so they can not afford to lose him for an extended period of time. Expect an update tomorrow.
