Gauthier has cleared waivers and been assigned to Bridgeport (AHL).

After clearing waivers on Monday afternoon, Gauthier will report to the Bridgeport Islanders of the AHL, where he had 10 points (7G / 3A) in 17 games last season. The 27-year-old Gauthier was held off the scoresheet in his only game this season and has 41 points (19G / 22A) in 181 career NHL games.

Julien Gauthier
Vatrano (personal) missed practice on Monday due to the expected birth of his child.

Vatrano did not play on Friday due to the birth of his child, but returned to action on Sunday against the Los Angeles Kings. Given that he played on Sunday, his absence from practice on Monday likely does not have an impact on his status for Tuesday's game against the San Jose Sharks. The 30-year-old Vatrano is coming off a career-best season, scoring 60 points (27G / 23A) in 82 games. He has two points (0G / 2A) in four games so far this season.

Frank Vatrano
Strome (illness) missed practice on Monday.

Strome did not practice on Monday due to an illness and his status for Tuesday's game against the San Jose Sharks is up in the air. The 31-year-old Strome, in his third season with the Ducks, has three points (2G / 1A), 14 shots, and a -2 plus/minus rating through five games.

Ryan Strome
Maroon (lower-body) is expected to return on Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

Maroon did not play on Saturday due to a lower-body injury but should return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks. Maroon, in his his first season with the Blackhawks, the eighth stop of his 14-year career, is averaging 11:59 time-on-ice and has one point (0G / 1A) and 14 penalty minutes through 5 games.

Pat Maroon
Kurashev is expected to be a healthy scratch on Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

After a breakout 2023-24 campaign, potting 54 points (18G / 36A) in 75 games, Kurashev will be a healthy scratch in game seven of the season for the Blackhawks on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks. In six games this season, Kurashev has one point (1G / 0A) and a -6 plus/minus rating.

Philipp Kurashev
Gustavsson will start on Tuesday in Florida.

For the fourth straight game, Minnesota will turn to Gustavsson between the pipes on Tuesday against the Florida Panthers. After a forgetful 2023-24 season, posting a pedestrian 3.06 GAA and .899 SV%, Gustavsson has been tremendous, starting the 2024-25 campaign with an outstanding 1.49 GAA and .950 SV% in four outings (3-0-1). That said, Minnesota will be hard-pressed for success against a Panthers club that has points in four straight (3-0-1) and will welcome Matthew Tkachuk (illness) back into the lineup.

Filip Gustavsson
Lindgren (upper-body) practiced in full on Monday and is a possibility to return on Tuesday in Montreal.

Lindgren has not played yet this season due to an upper-body injury suffered during the preseason but could make his season debut on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens. The 26-year-old was a cog on New York's back end last season, putting up three goals, 17 points and a +22 plus/minus in 76 games played.

Ryan Lindgren
Ersson will start on Tuesday vs. Washington.

The Flyers, losers of four straight (0-3-1), will roll with Ersson between the pipes for the third time in four games to try and snap out of their losing skid. After winning his first outing, saving 24 of 26 shots (.923 SV%) in a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks, Ersson has allowed eight goals on 68 shots since (.882 SV%). Ersson and the Flyers will be hard-pressed to end their losing ways on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals, averaging 4.3 goals per game during a three-game winning streak.

Samuel Ersson
Perron (personal) will not travel with Ottawa on their upcoming road trip.

Perron will likely miss at least the first game of a three-game road trip for the Ottawa Senators due to personal reasons. The 36-year-old veteran has had trouble establishing himself in his first season with the Senators, scoring zero points and recording a -4 plus/minus through five games of playing predominantly on the third line.

David Perron
Steel (undisclosed) will travel on Dallas’ upcoming road trip but is without an update on his playing status.

Steel played 13:36 time-on-ice in Dallas' first loss of the season on Thursday against the Washington Capitals, but suffered an undisclosed injury in the waning minutes of the third period, forcing him to miss Saturday's 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Through five games this season, Steel has two points (1G / 1A) while playing predominantly on the fourth line.

Sam Steel
Seguin (lower-body) will travel on Dallas’ upcoming road trip but is without an update on playing status.

Seguin was off to a strong start to the 2024-25 season, scoring three points (2G / 1A) in his first three games, but has been sidelined with a lower-body injury in the three games since. Seguin's impending return will create an interesting lineup dilemma for a Stars coaching staff rostering a deep and talented forward group.

Tyler Seguin
Dumba (lower-body) will travel with Dallas on their road trip but is without an update on playing status.

Dumba exited the Stars' second game of the season after playing only 6:02 time-on-ice and has been replaced by Brendan Smith in the lineup in the four games since. The 30-year-old Dumba signed a two-year contract worth $7.5 million ($3.75 AAV) with the Stars in the offseason to be paired next to Miro Heiskanen on the Stars' top defensive pair.

Matt Dumba
Lafreniere (upper-body) missed practice Monday and is considered day-to-day.

Lafreniere is battling an upper-body injury, and his status for Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens is up in the air. After struggling to live up to his first-overall selection in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Lafreniere is making a name for himself in his fourth NHL campaign, opening the 2024-25 season by scoring six points (3G / 3A) during a season-opening five-game point streak.

Alexis Lafrenière
Laughton (personal) missed practice on Monday due to the birth of his child.

It is unclear if Laughton will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals after being absent from practice on Monday to attend to the birth of his child. The 30-year-old Laughton has had a high-impact presence early in the 2024-25 season, tallying four points (2G / 2A) and 18 hits through five games.

Scott Laughton
Seeler (lower-body) practiced in full on Monday and is likely to make his season debut on Tuesday vs. Washington.

The Flyers have reassigned Emil Andrae to the Lehigh-Valley Phantoms (AHL), clearing space for Seeler to be activated from Injured Reserve and make his season debut on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. The 31-year-old Seeler appeared in 71 games with the Flyers in 2023-24, tallying a goal, 13 points, 78 PIMs and a +9 plus/minus.

Nick Seeler
Montembeault will start on Tuesday vs. the Rangers.

The Canadiens are riding a three-game losing skid (0-2-1), being outscored 14-7, and will attempt to return to the win column on Tuesday with Montembeault between the pipes. The 27-year-old Montembeault was sensational to start the 2024-25 season, saving 72 of 73 shots (.986 SV%) in his first two games (2-0-0), before losing his next two outings (0-2-0), falling drastically to a .867 SV% in those two games. The Canadiens will host a New York Rangers team that has yet to lose in regulation (4-0-1).

Sam Montembeault
Hughes (shoulder) will not play on Tuesday but his return "is imminent".

Hughes was given a 6-8 week timeline to return from a shoulder injury suffered in mid-September during training camp and appears to be on schedule to return. The sophomore defenseman will play a key role in the Devils' back end. In 2023-24, he had nine goals, 47 points, 135 SOG, 28 PIMs, and a -25 plus/minus in 82 games, finishing third place in voting for the Calder trophy.
