Ben Bishop in the starters net at preskate this morning.

Bishop stopped all 24 shots that he faced in his first shutout since 2011 on Thursday. With the shutout you would expect him to be back in net tonight when the Senators take on the Maple Leafs. The battle of Ontario is always an exciting game, so consider Bishop an average start tonight.

Goalie Mike Smith will not be joining #Coyotes in San Jose. LaBarbera will be back in net tonight vs. #Sharks.

LaBarbera allowed four goals on 38 shots in a wild 7-4 win over Nashville on Thursday. With Smith still hurt he will start tonight. He has a tough matchup vs. a Sharks team who have won three straight and have posted shutouts in their last two.

Braydon Coburn did not practice Friday after suffering a left shoulder separation in the second period of Thursday’s game that will keep him out of the lineup indefinitely.

General manager Paul Holmgren did not provide an update on his injury Friday, but the fact that the team recalled defenseman Oliver Lauridsen and placed Coburn on injured reserve suggests the injury is more than just a nagging one.

#Coyotes have acquired forward Tobias Rieder from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for forward Kale Kessy.

Kessy (20, 6'3" - 196 lbs.) had 19 goals and 21 assists in 58 games as a member of both the Vancouver Giants and now the Kamloops Blazers this season.

Dan DeKeyser has chosen Detroit.

The highly sought after 6-foot-3-inch two-way defenseman DeKeyser has decided to stay in Michigan and sign with the Red Wings. It is believed that most of the teams in the NHL tried to sign him but he ultimately signed with Detroit. He registered two goals and 13 assists in 35 games as a member of the Western Michigan Broncos this season. He is likely going to be given a shot with the Red Wings, if he produces he could become a fantasy relevant defenseman.

Iginla still hasn't arrived in Pittsburgh and is unlikely to play when the Penguins host the New York Islanders on Saturday at Consol Energy Center.

The Penguins would prefer Iginla be able to practice with them once before participating in a game. Following Saturday's game against the Islanders, the Penguins have a scheduled off day on Sunday before practicing again Monday. They host the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, which could mark Iginla's debut.
