Fleury starting in goal vs #NYR

Fleury has posted very similar numbers as Kari Lehtonen over the last three games (2.27 GAA and .901 SV%) but the only difference is Fleury has had goal support and won all three and Lehtonen lost all three. Playing for the Penguins makes Fleury a good start regardless of matchup.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Second straight start for Ben Scrivens.

Scrivens played well stopping 25 of 27 shots vs. Pittsburgh on Thursday. He had a shutout going in the third until Sidney Crosby made a ridiculous back-door pass to Pascal Dupuis. Scrivens has a much easier matchup tonight vs. the Jets. However the Leafs just lost to Winnipeg 5-2 on Tuesday.

Bobrovsky gets the start for Columbus.

Bobrovsky is yet to lose in regulation this month. He is 5-0-2 with an outstanding 0.85 GAA and .971 SV%, and has a chance to build off of that with a good matchup vs. Phoenix. The Blue Jackets are in 14th in a stacked Western Conference. However are only four points out of the playoffs, so a win vs. the ninth place Coyotes would go a long way.

Lundqvist in net

Lundqvist has lost his last three starts against sub-par opponents (OTT, BUF, WPG) so you can't help but be worried about him this afternoon against a great Penguins team. He has two starts vs. Pittsburgh this season, he is 0-2-0 with a 4.71 GAA and .851 SV% in those games.

Kyle Quincey might have suffered a fractured left cheek bone when he was hit by the puck late in the third period of Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Quincey will not travel to Vancouver for Saturday's game because they don't want him to fly in case the bone is fractured. Ian White, scratched in seven of the past eight games, likely will be inserted into the lineup against the Canucks.

Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson to a six-year contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ekman-Larsson leads all Coyotes defensemen in scoring and assists with 3-14-17 in 27 games. He also ranks tied for sixth among all NHL defensemen in points.

Panthers have acquired defenseman T. J. Brennan from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Florida’s fifth round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. The fifth round draft pick was originally acquired by Florida from Los Angeles

Brennan, 23, has played in 21 National Hockey League games, all with Buffalo (2011-2013) scoring two goals with 12 PIM

T.J. Brennan
Pre-game warm-ups under way at Wells Fargo Center for Devils-Flyers. It will be Johan Hedberg (NJ) vs. Ilya Bryzgalov (PHI) in the nets.

Bryzgalov has had a very difficult first half of March. He is 2-3-0 with a 3.42 GAA and .873 SV% this month. He has a decently tough matchup tonight vs. a Devils team who have won three of their last four.

Ilya Bryzgalov
The Dallas Stars had an optional skate in Frisco on Friday. Nine players were on the ice including center Jamie Benn, who has missed the last two games with a wrist injury.

Benn, who skated at one end of the ice with assistant coach Paul Jerrard, wasn’t shooting any pucks during his time on the ice. He is questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks at American Airlines Center.
