He comes into play on Friday with an 5-1-2 record and he ranks first in SV% (.950) seventh in GAA (1.78). A matchup vs. Detroit is not great, but he is a must-start regardless of his opponent.

Lupul stepped on a stick at practice and fell on his hand. Lupul was hoping to play on Friday, but an X-ray revealed a break. Leo Komarov will play with Nazem Kadri and Phil Kessel tonight with Lupul out.

Bernier stopped all 10 shots.. yes TEN shots…that he faced for his first shutout of the season on Tuesday vs. Buffalo. It was just his second win of the year but he has been much better posting a 1.84 GAA and .932 SV% over his last four outings. Tonight he has a good matchup vs. an injury riddled Blue Jackets lineup

Burrows caught Emelin with a nasty elbow last night and it will cost him three games. He will miss the Canucks back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday as well as next Tuesday's game vs. Colorado. He is eligible to return on Thursday in San Jose. With Burrows out, Jannik Hansen moved up to the second line.

Lehtonen allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Stars 4-3 OT loss to the Blues on Tuesday. Lehtonen has been average in seven starts this season, posting a 2.90 GAA and .907 SV%, however he has yet to lose in regulation (4-0-3). Tonight he will face the Ducks who were shutout by St. Louis last night.
