Niemi has won two straight games with a 1.45 GAA and .947 SV% and will be back between the pipes today vs. Jake Allen and the Blues. The Blues have been inconsistent lately so it could be a good matchup for Niemi, but it could be a terrible matchup just as easily.

This will be Desjardins' third career NHL start and first since the 2010-11 season. He started two games that season winning both with a 1.00 GAA and .968 SV%. He will try and keep his undefeated NHL record in tact vs. Montreal who are first in the Eastern Conference.
Grubauer has a 8-4-1 record with 1.99 GAA and .930 SV% as a member of the Hershey Bears of the AHL this season. He has a fairly easy opponent for his NHL debut but there should be better spot start options.

That being said you would be rolling the dice if you start Varlamov tonight.
