Matt frattin is undergoing a procedure to his surgically-repaired knee that could keep him out of the lineup for a week. #tmltalk

This is unfortunate news for Frattin and the Maple Leafs as he has been one of the NHL's hottest players since being recalled from the Toronto Marlies. He has 7 goals and 3 assists in 10 games this season as well as a +6. The procedure isn't expected to be serious and he shouldn't be out any longer than a week.

Matt Frattin
Anderson gets back-to-back starts for the Senators.

Anderson has been the best goalie in the NHL this season and is the front-runner for the Vezina right now. Anderson will get the start tonight vs. the Penguins after posting a 42-save shutout last night against the Sabres. Anderson is a must-start right now regardless of format or opponent.

Craig Anderson
All indications point to Irving. RT @psychobillymac Any indication of who starts tomorrow Irving or Joey Mac? #Flames

Irving has posted a 1-1-1 record since Kipper went down with a knee injury. The injury appears to be extensive so Irving should continue to get starts. His number have not been great (2.62 GAA and .900 SV%) so he should be a spot starter at best. Don't play him against the top teams in the West. The Stars are fresh off of a 4-1 walloping of the Oilers and sit in a tie for 6th so use your judgement here.

Leland Irving
Niskanen practiced this morning and will be a game-time decision tonight.

Like Letang, Niskanen will also be a game-time decision tonight. It is more likely that Letang plays than Niskanen but it is believed that both should be back tonight. Monitor his status before puck-drop.

Matt Niskanen
Fleury will be between the pipes tonight for the Penguins.

Fleury had his 3 game-winning streak snapped in his last outing vs. the Devils. The Penguins come into tonight's game having lost back-to-back 3-1 games vs. New Jersey. After stumbling out of the gate Fleury has found his game as of late and is starting to see the majority of starts over Vokoun. Tonight will be his fourth start in the Pens last five games.

#NHLJets recall goaltender Eddie Pasquale from #IceCaps

More news to come on the severity of Al Montoya's injury that forced him to leave yesterday's game. It is serious enough that the Jets had to recall Pasquale who is 14-19-2 with a 2.63 GAA and .912 SV% this season in the AHL. Ondrej Pavelec will likely see almost all the starts going forward.

Ed Pasquale
Darcy Kuemper will make his NHL debut tonight vs. Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks.

With Niklas Backstrom playing last night and Josh Harding not feeling great the last couple of days it is expected that Kuemper will make his NHL debut tonight vs. the Canucks. Kuemper is 10-6-0 with a 1.79 GAA and .938 SV% in the AHL this season, but the Canucks are not an easy team to make your NHL debut against.

Darcy Kuemper
#mnwild D Jared Spurgeon (missed 9 gms) this morning:"Been a long time, a lot longer than we expected, but I’m just excited to get back."

Matt Kassian was sent down to the AHL in order for Spurgeon to come off of IR. Spurgeon will be paired with Justin Falk and Nate Prosser will be scratched. Spurgeon has 1 assist in 3 games this season.

Jared Spurgeon
Ward will get the start for the Hurricanes tonight.

Ward played last night and registered a win against the Islanders and he will start again tonight vs. a much tougher Devils team. Ward has won 3 of his last 4 starts and is starting to look like the Ward we've come accustom to seeing in the past. However still has a tough match-up tonight.
