Cowen will miss his fifth straight game tonight and with just three more games after tonight, his season appears to be over. If that i the case, Cowen has finished the season with six goals, nine assists (15 points) with an EVEN plus/minus rating, 45 penalty minutes, 99 blocked shots 214 hits and 68 shots.

He has posted a 2.00 GAA and .918 SV% in his last 10, which is right on par with his numbers on the season (2.22 / .918). Tonight, he faces a Canadiens team who are resting multiple players, but have won seven of their last eight.

Holtby allowed three goals on 38 shots in a shootout W over the Islanders on Saturday. Despite being in St. Louis, the Capitals will go with Holtby instead of Jaroslav Halak vs. his former team. Washington's playoff hopes have nearly evaporated, but an unlikely win tonight could keep their dreams alive.

Ashton has three assists in 31 games with the Leafs this season and is still searching for his first NHL goal. Tonight, will mark his 47th career NHL game and it will come against the team that drafted him 29th overall in 2009.

Bolland is dealing with pain in the area where he had surgery to repair a severed tendon in his ankle. One would think maybe the Maple Leafs and Bolland rushed his return if he is dealing with significant pain in that surgically repaired area. If Bolland does not play tonight, expect him to be shut down for the rest of the season.

Vokoun has not played all season after having surgery for a blood clot in his pelvis in September. It is unlikely that Vokoun will play any part in the Penguins' playoff run, but this is great news for Vokoun.
