Anderson allowed one goal on 31 shots in a shootout win over the Hurricanes on Monday. He has won each of his last two starts while allowing just four goals on 80 shots (.950 SV%). Tonight, it looks like he will start vs. the Islanders; a matchup that makes him a strong fantasy start.
Spezza missed Monday's game with an undisclosed injury, but could return Wednesday. However, he is not taking part in line rushes this morning. Mika Zibanejad is still skating with Spezza's regular linemates Milan Michalek and Ales Hemsky. This suggests Spezza might sit for a second straight game, but monitor his status following the morning skate.
Boyes was originally listed as a game-time decision, but ended up playing. Boyes played just 3:17 before retiring to the locker room for the evening. He is listed as day-to-day.
Breen, 24, is a monster, he stands-in at 6-foot-7, 224 lbs. Breen has no points in six games with the Flames this season, but has one goal and three assists in 38 games with Abbotsford.
Cundari impressed with one goal and two assists in four games after being recalled late last season. Cundari had 10 points (4G / 6A) in 32 games with Abbotsford, but is on a loan with the Chicago Wolves where he has five goals and eight assists (13 points) in 22 games.
McDonagh was crunched by Canucks forward Alex Burrows and skated off of the ice in obvious pain. According to reports, the original diagnosis is that the injury "is not serious". Expect a more detailed update in the next 24 hours.
Ranger missed five games after being stretchered off of the ice on March 19th vs. Tampa Bay. Ranger suited up as the seventh defenseman and played 15:10 with one hit, one blocked shot and a plus-1 rating.
Clowe was injured in Monday's game vs. Florida and is listed as day-to-day. With Clowe out, Tuomo Ruutu moved back up to the Devils' top-line with Mike Sislo drawing into the lineup.
Clemmensen has not started an NHL game since March 1. He is 6-6-1 with a 3.02 GAA and .896 SV% so far this season. He draws a solid matchup against an Islanders team who is missing key players, but with a career 2.76 GAA and .906 SV%, he is not an ideal playoff spot-start.
Halak gave up three goals on 29 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Predators on Sunday. Halak has dropped three consecutive games in the shootout. Losing in the shootout picks up one point, but Washington needs Halak to lock down two points if they want to make the playoffs.
Khudobin allowed three goals on 32 shots in a loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Khudobin went 3-5-1 with a 2.32 GAA and .933 SV% in March. He draws a tough matchup vs. the Pens.
Pavelec allowed five goals on 36 shots in a OT loss to the Ducks last night. After missing six games, Pavelec has returned to lose two in a row with a 5.98 GAA (not an April fools joke) and .846 SV%. Pavelec has gone 2-0-0 with a 1.44 GAA and .945 SV% against the Coyotes this season.
Lundqvist gave up four goals on 28 shots in a loss to the Flames on Friday. He was then given Sunday night off, but to no ones surprise will be back in the cage tonight vs. the Canucks. 8-5-1 with a 2.44 GAA and .917 SV% is what King Herik's March looked like. He is safe to deploy against the Canucks this evening.
Scrivens surrendered five goals on 32 shots in a 5-0 blowout loss to the Rangers on Sunday. He has lost four of his last five with an ugly 4.13 GAA and .887 SV%. He was just shelled by the Sharks last week, so I would bank on that being more likely to happen than another 59-save shutout.
Terry has been recalled incase Andrei Loktionov or Jiri Tlusty is unable to play Tuesday -- both forwards left Monday's game with lower-body injuries. Terry has yet to chalk up a point with the Hurricanes this season, but leads Charlotte in assists (38) and is second in goals (28) and points (66) through 63 games.
Tlusty played just 10:32 while he is usually around 15. He has had a rough season compared to last seasons breakout campaign. However, since being pushed back onto the top line with Eric Staal, Tlusty has four goals and three assists in his last nine games. Monitor his status in pre-game warmups.
Loktionov, who was acquired at the trade deadline in the Tuomo Ruutu trade, has enjoyed his early time in Carolina. He went from cycling in and out of the lineup in Jersey, to playing on the top line with Eric Staal in Raleigh. He has three goals and three assists in his last seven games, but could be held out of Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh. Monitor his status during pre-game warmups.
First of all, what a hockey name this kid has... Bryce Van Brabant... Wow, excellent. Van Brabant, 22, is a 6-foot-3, 205 lbs. forward who recently signed with the Flames after finishing up his season with Quinnipiac University. This season he totaled 15 goals and seven assists (22 points) in 40 games with Quinnipiac. He will make his NHL debut on a line with Lance Bouma and Kevin Westgarth.
Sedin will miss his fourth straight game tonight vs. the Rangers, but it is a good sign to see him back on the ice. The Canucks are desperately trying to salvage their season and make it into the playoffs and having a healthy Daniel and Henrik would certainly help their chances. Sedin remains day-to-day.
Butler has 21 goals and 24 assists (45 points) in 64 games with the Rampage this season. He has never played in a game with the Panthers but has totalled 48 points (20G / 28A) in 128 career NHL games between the Senators, Devils and Predators.
