Lehner starts in goal on Saturday.

Lehner stopped 12 of 13 shots in an OT loss to the Predators after replacing the injured Craig Anderson on Tuesday. Anderson still has not skated since getting hurt, so Lehner will take over as the Sens number-1 until Andy is able to get back between the pipes. Lehner made 33 saves in a 4-1 victory over the Habs in their first meeting in November.

Robin Lehner
Bobrovsky starts in goal on Saturday.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 27 shots in a shootout loss to the Sharks on Thursday. Bob has gone 5-1-1 with a 2.12 GAA and .928 SV% in March as the Blue Jackets continue to be one of the NHL better teams in the second half. He carries a 10-10-3 road record into Minnesota on Saturday.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Pavelec in goal for the Jets.

Pavelec stopped 31 of 33 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Canucks on Wednesday. Pavelec has lost four starts in a row while posting a 3.13 GAA and .893 SV%. He made 35 saves in a 5-2 win over the Rangers in their first meeting back in December.

Ondrej Pavelec
Neal is out indefinitely with a concussion.

This explains why Neal has missed the last two days of practice. The injuries continue to pile up for the Penguins. Neal likely will not play over the weekend and will be monitored day-to-day after that. Brian Gibbons will move up and play on the second line with Evgeni Malkin and Jussi Jokinen.

James Neal
Helm (concussion) is expecting to return to the Red Wings lineup next week.

Helm participated in his first team practice since getting concussed this morning. Helm acknowledged that it is difficult to put a timeframe on a concussion, but hopes to be back next week. Look for him to return on Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs or Thursday vs. the Penguins.

The Sharks have recalled Bracken Kearns from Worcester (AHL).

Kearns has recorded three goals, one assist and six penalty minutes in 22 games this season with San Jose. He has recorded 19 points (5G / 14A) and 62 penalty minutes in 33 games with Worcester.

Bracken Kearns
Kesler will miss "at least a couple of weeks" with a sprained knee.

Kesler was injured in a knee-on-knee collision with Jets forward Jim Slater on Wednesday. Kesler could return for the end of the regular season, but he will miss at least two weeks. The Canucks are just four points out of the final playoff spot in the West, but it will be hard for them to get in with their emotional leader on the sideline.

Ryan Kesler
Hossa (upper-body) is taking part in the Blackhawks morning skate.

Hossa served as a spot-holder on the Blackhawks fourth line for Brandon Bollig. However, it is a good sign that Hossa was able to get back onto the ice. He is 11 days into his recovery from an upper-body injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for 2-3 weeks. Chicago could have Hossa back in their lineup by next week.

The Bruins have recalled Matt Lindblad from Providence (AHL).

Lindblad has skated in 43 games this season for the Providence Bruins, tallying seven goals and 15 assists (22 points). Head coach Claude Julien said that Lindblad will probably make his NHL debut on Saturday.

Matt Lindblad
Crawford back in goal for the Blackhawks.

Crawford stopped 20 of 21 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Sabres. He was given Wednesday night off, but will be back between the pipes tonight vs. the Predators. Crawford has won three of his last four starts, but was lit up for five goals in 44 minutes of a 7-2 loss in October vs. Nashville.

Corey Crawford
MacDonald starts in goal for the Flames.

MacDonald is 3-3-1 with a 3.17 GAA and .885 SV% with the Flames this season. While in the AHL he is 5-10-0 with a 3.00 GAA and .909 SV%. He draws a tough matchup vs. the Stars who have won three games in a row while scoring 13 goals (4.33 G/PG).

Thomas will start in goal for the Stars.

Thomas stopped 28 of 30 shots in a 3-2 OT win over the Blues on Tuesday. He has stopped 34 of 36 shots in his first two appearances in Dallas, winning both. Tonight he should make for another strong start with the Flames in town. Kari Lehtonen is close to returning, but Thomas will start for the Stars until he is 100 per cent.

Lehtonen (concussion) is on the ice for the Stars morning skate.

Lehtonen is progressing quickly from a concussion he suffered last weekend. With Tim Thomas now in a Stars uniform, they will likely hold Lehtonen out tonight and allow him to rest a little longer. Monitor his status following the morning skate.

Kari Lehtonen
Neal (undisclosed) is not at practice for the second straight day.

Neal's absence from practice on Thursday was classified as a 'maintenance' day, but missing practice today as well is alarming. The Penguins take on the Flyers on Saturday, so monitor Neal's status during pre-game warmups tomorrow. Puck-drop is at 1 pm ET.

James Neal
Laich (groin) will be a game-time decision on Friday.

Laich did not play on Tuesday night, but could be back in the lineup tonight against the Canucks. If he plays he will skate on the top-line with a Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. He has 15 points (8G / 7A) in 50 games this season.
