Miller gets back in the crease on Thursday.

Miller allowed three goals on 30 shots in a 3-2 OT loss to the Stars on Tuesday. It was his first loss since being traded to St. Louis, but he still sits at 4-0-1 with a 1.78 GAA and .925 SV%… not too shabby. Get him in your line-up tonight with the Oilers in town. Beware however, Edmonton has quietly won eight of their last 12.

Ryan Miller
Talbot will be between the pipes on Thursday.

Talbot stopped 31 of 32 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Blackhawks on February 27. He has sat on the bench for the last six games, but will get back between the pipes in Minnesota tonight. He is 11-5-0 with a 1.75 GAA and .938 SV% this season and stopped 24 shots in a 4-1 win over the Wild in November.

Cam Talbot
Comeau has been suspended for two-games for his hit from behind on Brendan Smith on Tuesday.

Comeau crunched Smith into the corner boards from behind when Smith went to retrieve the puck. Comeau was given a double-minor on the play, but stayed in the game. He is eligible to return on Tuesday vs. the Hurricanes.

Blake Comeau
Kuemper will start in goal on Thursday.

Kuemper surrendered three goals on 26 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Oilers on Tuesday. The Wild blew a three-goal first period lead in this one and are still searching for their first win since the trade deadline. Kuemper will go head-to-head with another young netminder as Cam Talbot gets the start for the Rangers tonight at Xcel Energy Center. Kuemper is 6-1-1 with a 1.84 GAA and .933 SV% at home this year.

The Flames have reassigned Max Reinhart to Abbotsford (AHL).

Originally it looked like Ben Hanowski was going to be a healthy scratch tonight vs. Anaheim, but with Reinhart returning to the AHL, it appears as if Hanowski will slide back into the lineup.

Max Reinhart
Hiller back in goal for the Ducks.

Hiller allowed two goals on 17 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Penguins on Friday. It was an unusually quiet night against a quality Penguins squad, but the Penguins couldn't squeeze passed the best in the East. After sitting on Monday, Hiller will take on the Flames tonight. Hiller is a must-start in Calgary.

Jonas Hiller
Jurco (ribs) will not play on Friday.

Jurco left Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jackets with a rib injury. The injury will keep him out of the lineup on Friday, so the Red Wings have recalled Teemu Pulkkinen, who will take Jurco's spot and make his NHL debut vs. the Oilers. The injuries just continue to mount in Detroit and it is starting to look more and more like they will miss the playoffs for the first time since 1990.

The Red Wings have recalled Teemu Pulkkinen from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Pulkkinen was recalled last week, but never dressed for the Red Wings. He leads the Griffins in goals (26) and points (51), he also sits second on the team with 25 assists. Tomas Jurco left Tuesday's loss with an upper-body injury, so Pulkkinen will make his debut on Friday vs. Edmonton.

Teemu Pulkkinen
Glencross (ankle) will return to the Flames lineup Wednesday.

Glencross has not played since December 21 because of a high-ankle sprain but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Ducks. Glencross will skate on the third like with T.J Galliardi and Brian McGrattan. He had 12 points (6G / 6A) in 21 games before getting injured.

Curtis Glencross
Liles is out indefinitely with a concussion.

Liles has missed the last two games with what was originally called an 'upper-body' injury. Hurricanes head coach Kirk Mueller told reporters today that Liles is dealing with a concussion and there is no timetable for his return. Liles has one goal and three assists with a plus-9 rating in 22 games since being traded to the Hurricanes.

John-Michael Liles
Ortio starts for the Flames.

Ortio stopped 20 of 23 shots in in a 3-2 loss to the Kings on Monday. Ortio has held the opposition to 2.24 goals per game in his first five starts, but that has only translated into two wins. He is a risky play on most nights, but playing him when he is starting vs. the Ducks is a down-right bad idea.

Joni Ortio
Wotherspoon (upper-body) will play Wednesday vs. Anaheim.

Wotherspoon left Monday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return, however he is on the ice this morning an will play vs. the Ducks tonight. He is a big-boy at 6-foot-2, 203 lbs. and has recorded one assist in his first three NHL games since being recalled last week.

Tyler Wotherspoon
Ramo (knee) returned to practice Wednesday.

Ramo had been skating be himself, before and after the Flames official skates, but today his has re-joined the team as they target a return for next week. Ramo has will sit out his 11th consecutive game tonight, but the Flames are optimistic that he will only miss three or four more contests.

Karri Ramo
Faulk (upper-body) returned to practice on Wednesday.

Faulk has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury he suffered on March 2nd in Anaheim. He took part in the Hurricanes' optional skate on Tuesday, but this is his first full practice back with the team. His status for Thursday's game remains unknown, so monitor his availability for tomorrow's game-day skate.

Justin Faulk
The Stars have reassigned forward Chris Mueller to the Texas Stars (AHL).

Mueller was recalled for Tuesday's game because Alex Chiasson was unable to play due to personal reasons tied to the scary incident that happened with Rich Peverley on Monday. Mueller played 10:29 and was a minus-1 with two shots.

Chris Mueller
The Flames have placed Markus Granlund (shoulder) on injured reserve.

Granlund lasted just 12 seconds in his seventh career NHL game before leaving Monday's game with a shoulder injury. The injury was believed to be significant and his placement on IR confirms that. He is out indefinitely with no timetable on his return.
