Ruhwedel is expected to be a healhty scratch on Tuesday in Montreal.

Ryan Lindgren (upper body) will make his season debut on Tuesday, resulting in Ruhwedel being sent to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 34-year-old Ruhwedel recorded a +2 plus/minus in 14:04 time-on-ice in his only game this season.

Chad Ruhwedel
Lindgren (upper-body) will return on Tuesday in Montreal.

Lindgren has not played yet this season due to an upper-body injury suffered during the preseason but will make his season debut on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens. The 26-year-old was a cog on New York's back end last season, putting up three goals, 17 points and a +22 plus/minus in 76 games played.

Ryan Lindgren
Shesterkin was the first goalie off the ice at New York's morning skate.

The Rangers will likely turn to Shesterkin for the fifth time in six games to start the 2024-25 season. The 28-year-old Shesterkin continues to make his case for being the undisputed best netminder in the league early this season, boasting a stellar 1.97 GAA and .935 SV% in four games (3-0-1). The Rangers own the best point percentage in the Eastern Conference (.900) and enter the action on Tuesday as sizeable -232 road favorites against a Montreal Canadiens club that will be without offensive threat Juraj Slafkovsky (upper body).

Igor Shesterkin
Binnington is in the starter's crease at St. Louis' morning skate.

Despite being outplayed by Joel Hofer early in the 2024-25 season, the Blues will likely turn to Binnington between the pipes for the fourth time this season. The 31-year-old Binnington has a 3.02 GAA and .895 SV% in three games this season (1-2-0). The Blues enter action on Tuesday as +133 home underdogs against their division rivals, the Winnipeg Jets, the hottest team in the league to start the season and the only team yet to suffer a loss (5-0-0).

Jordan Binnington
Neighbours has signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract extension ($3,750,000 AAV).

Neighbours was drafted 26th overall by the Blues in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and become a full-time NHLer last season. The 22-year-old Neighbours has three points (2G / 1A) in six games to start the 2024-25 campaign, and was tied for second on the Blues last season with 27 goals in 77 games.

Jake Neighbours
Mrazek is in the starter's crease at Chicago's morning skate.

Mrazek had the night off in the Blackhawks' last outing, a 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres, but will return to the crease for the fourth time in their last five games on Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks. The 32-year-old Mrazek has had an impressive start to the 2023-24 campaign, posting a 2.53 GAA and .911 SV% through four games (2-2-0). The Blackhawks enter action on Tuesday as +157 home underdogs against the Canucks.

Petr Mrazek
Greenway (undisclosed) will return on Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Greenway did not play on Saturday, a late scratch due to an undisclosed ailment, but was back to practice on Monday as a full participant. The 6'6, 27-year-old Greenway is off to a strong start to the 2024-25 season, posting four points (2G / 2A), seven blocks, and 19 hits in six games. Greenway draws back into the lineup on Monday and will replaced Zach Benson, who is battling a lower-body injury.

Jordan Greenway
Benson (lower-body) will be out on Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Benson has played six of seven games to start the season for the Sabres, scoring zero points and recording a -4 plus/minus, but will miss his second contest on Tuesday against the Dallas Stars. Jordan Greenway, who missed the last game due to an undisclosed injury, will draw back into the Sabres lineup.

Zach Benson
Slafkovsky (upper-body) will be out for a week before being reevaluated further.

Slafkovsky has been battling a shoulder injury since last week. He was a game-time decision on Saturday but managed to play and recorded two points (0G / 2A), one shot, and four hits while playing 15:57 time-on-ice. This ongoing shoulder issue continues to be an impairment for Slafkovsky, who will be shut down for at least the next week before being reevaluated.

Juraj Slafkovsky
Bobrovsky will start on Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

The Panthers will turn to Bobrovsky between the pipes for the third straight game and sixth time in eight contests to start the 2024-25 season. The 36-year-old Bobrovsky has a solid 3-1-1 record but is sporting an unspectacular 2.95 GAA and .896 SV%. Bobrovsky had a tremendous 2023-24 season but also started slow, posting a .899 SV% in his first five contests (2-3-0). The Panthers will welcome Matthew Tkachuk (illness) back into the lineup on Tuesday and enter the action against the Minnesota Wild as -147 home favorites.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Tkachuk (illness) will return on Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

Tkachuk has not played since the second game of the season on October 10th, missing five contests, but is on schedule for his targeted return date of October 22nd. Over the past three seasons, Tkachuk has been among the league leaders in the NHL, averaging 1.25 points per game. He has two points (0G / 2A) and seven shots on goal in two games this season and will reclaim his spot on the Panthers' top line and top powerplay unit.

Matthew Tkachuk
Spurgeon (lower-body) has resumed skating in Minnesota, but it's unknown if he'll join the team on their current road trip.

After missing 66 games in 2023-24 due to injury, Jared Spurgeon has missed three straight games in the 2024-25 campaign due to a lower-body injury. The 34-year-old Spurgeon was replaced by Declan Chisholm since he exited the lineup on October 12th.

Jared Spurgeon
Harris will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

After playing their last contest with seven defensemen, the Blue Jackets will return to the traditional 12-6 formation as Kevin Labanc will draw into the lineup in favor of Harris. Harris played the last three games for the Blue Jackets, recording a -1 plus/minus, four penalty minutes, two shots, and one hit.

Jordan Harris
Labanc will draw back into Columbus' lineup on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

The Blue Jackets will return to the traditional 12-6 formation on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs as Labanc will draw back into the lineup and Jordan Harris will be a healthy scratch. Labanc was signed by the Blue Jackets prior to the start of the season and has added some offensive contributions, tallying two points (0G / 2A) in three games.

Kevin Labanc
Tarasov will start on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

Elvis Merzlikins (upper body) is back with the Blue Jackets, but the team will turn to Tarasov between the pipes for a third straight game on Tuesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Despite a pedestrian 3.70 GAA and .875 SV%, Tarasov has been serviceable between the pipes for the Blue Jackets, helping them post a 2-1-0 record when he has been in goal. That said, the Blue Jackets enter action as sizeable +194 road underdogs against a Maple Leafs club that defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 last night.

Daniil Tarasov
Allen is in the starter's crease at New Jersey's morning skate.

The Devils will turn to Allen between the pipes for only the third time in nine games this season, despite stellar play in limited action thus far. In his two games this season, Allen has been tremendous, winning both contests (2-0-0) and posting a gaudy 0.50 GAA and .974 SV%. The Devils enter the action on Tuesday as -148 home favorites against a Tampa Bay Lightning club that was defeated 5-2 by the Toronto Maple Leafs last night.

Jake Allen
Luukkonen is in the starter's net at Buffalo's morning skate.

For the first time this season, in their eighth game, the Sabres will use the same netminder in consecutive games, turning to Luukkonen again to occupy the crease on Tuesday evening against the Dallas Stars. Luukkonen was stellar in his previous outing, saving 35 of 37 shots (.946 SV%) in a 4-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. That said, Luukkonen has a less appealing 3.26 GAA and .895 SV% this season (1-3-0), and the Sabres are +126 home underdogs against a Dallas Stars club that defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 in their last contest.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Dunn (mid-body) has been placed on LTIR.

Dunn, a staple on the back end since joining Seattle in their inaugural 2021-22 season, has been placed on Long-Term Injured Reserve, a crushing blow for Seattle's defensive core. Dunn has scored 110 points (25G / 85A) in 140 games over the last two seasons. In a corresponding move, the team has recalled Cale Fleury from Coachella Valley of the AHL.
